Isabel Lucas joined Freida Pinto on the red carpet last night for the LA premiere of their new movie, ‘Immortals’.
It looks like the actresses colour-coordinated their looks, because they both wore blush gowns.
Isabel’s Roksanda Ilincic Spring 2009 satin frock had a central split and contrasting burgundy shoulder straps.
The creases put me off slightly, but I love the blush colour against her tanned skin.
Her platinum-blonde locks were ironed straight with two braids holding her hair back.
Nude strappy sandals completed her look.

Looks like a nightgown to me!
There something that leaves me a bit cold about this. I’m not sure whether it’s hair being too blond or straight or the straps in that colour or just the waistband the creases.
No,no, no, no, no! This is a nightgown, not even a great one for that matter. I mean… oh, dear!

Definitely a nightgown — made by someone who is just learning how to sew.
I am confused… did FC not write this?! Those creases are really REALLY bad. And I’m not really a picky person re: creases. I get that they can’t be helped, but here they’re all I see. That, and the fact that she’s disappearing.
I have said in the text that the creases put me off.
I know, but just slightly. I thought it’d be more… I just hope you’re not sick! Next you’re going to say Jennifer Aniston wearing black is shocking and out of the box for her!
I agree. Although creases don’t usually bother me, they are quite visible here, being in the centre of the dress and they put me off. Plus, I don’t like how much darker her skin is compared to the her hair and I hate to see such pale lips.
It’s hard for me to focus on the dress because her face is so gaunt. I’m sorry, but she looks unhealthy. The dress itself looks cheap and ill fitting.
Not a fan. And I’m against the lollipop head look.
So FC, how would you prevent creasing at events like this? No snark, honestly curious and would want to store the information away (it’s not a red carpet deal but I always get seat belt creases when I’m out)
Also, she looks sickly here. The pale hair with the pale lipstick combined with her tan does not produce a beautiful girl. And I know she’s can be better than this.
Honestly, I have no idea.
Jacqu rule number one if you’re going to wear satin-steam your dress before you put it on!!I’m sure she has a stylist so there is no excuse for the dress to be so creased, the stylist should’ve steamed it within a inch of its life!
personally, i would always avoid any fabric that wrinkles if i knew i was going to an event like that. there are so many other options.
this girl really bugs me. Her dyed blonde hair, against the dark eyebrows….another girl that Hollywood is trying to make happen.
Ooh, just steam? Nothing I need to add to the water? I usually just iron my satin dresses(so that’s my mistake) and everytime I drive to an event with it, the ugly diagonal creases on the bodice and the horizontal creases on the lap just put me off.
I agree about hte hair. It is seriously awful. It doesn’t suit her at all and is pretty painful to lok at, he is gorgeous, but it so does’t look right, she would look so much more beautiful with red or brown hair. Even darker blond would be better!
I agree with Maria, creases are unavoidable with this kind of fabric so be smart and think about what you’ll be doing most of the evening… if you’re sitting avoid this fabric or at the very least choose a very dark color to make it less noticeable. In the pictures with Freida she looks likes she’s slept in this dress. Having said that I’m not a fan Isabels boho look… i find it lacking in substance. I think she’s actually an attractive girl who needs to ditch the bad tan and bad dye job.
o m g… creases aside (pretty much inevitable with satin…) what really puts me off this look is the makeup, she looks ill to me… a tanned ill person and the fact that she’s too skinny paired with that hair style makes her head look giant, her forehead is high and wide enough as it is to be exagerated like this.
Lollipop issues aside, this dress looks like it was made by someone who just started to learn how to sew. It’s not properly fitting, basically a sac of potatoes with straps. I guess it’s both the designer’s and Isabel’s fault.
Roksanda Ilincic’s dresses have a history of bad tailoring (remember this years Emmy’s and Diana Agron?).
The dress seems a nightgown, those creases are very ugly to see, I don’t like the shoes. Then, the color of her hair is very ugly, I’ve always considered her very beautiful but in these photos she looks like an alien, am I the only one who thinks that she got plastic surgery? Those cheekbones seem quite fake…
way too skinny!
She looks like Bycicle girl from the Walking dead
Not a good look.
I can’t even really look at it with all the creases. This is why I think this fabric needs to take a little hiatus from the red carpet.
Hair is too blonde.. just yuck. Awful
Nevermind the dress and its creases. Unless you’re a pornstar from the 90′s, you have no business having platinum blonde hair, frosted lipstick AND orange tan.
just realized you said exactly what i wanted to say!
Hahahahaha! Almost spit coffee all over notebook. So true!
She does love the orange tan. http://www.redcarpet-fashionawards.com/2009/10/19/spike-tvs-scream-2009/
WDOTY.
Totally. Cheesy dress and lackluster presentation.
before talking about the creases on the dress, it really hurts my eyes & feelings to look at her – the combination of her skin tone/hair color/lip color is just so awful and she’s been in this combination with grandmother-type dresses forever.
Nothing looks good here… Too thin, too tanned, too creased, too ash blonde… she looks better when she’s not trying too hard.. i love her boho styling usually..
I cant even say that this was cute it looked like a cheap material moo moo women used to wear around the house back in the day when cleaning. The color of it is nice should have done a different style though.
WTF Isabel??
she does look sick with that orange tan of hers –’
