The 2011 MTV Europe Music Awards, which was held in Belfast, North Ireland, was hosted by American teen star Selena Gomez.
Justin Bieber’s girl wore a Marchesa Fall 2011 dress.
Her ivory embroidered and tulle Marchesa look was actually presented as at top during Fashion Week.
Selena just about pulls this look off without it looking too much like an ice-skating costume. Thank God she didn’t opt for the tulle cuffs.
Matching Casadei embellished peep-toes and a side-sweeping tumbling curls completed her look.

This is a horrible dress that typifies the worst of Marchesa. It almost looks like a caricature of earlier Marchesa work. I have in the past liked some of their dresses, but this is just awful.

I think she pulls it off perfectly. Ice-skating never even crossed my mind. Not a fan of the shoes though.
I think she pulls it off well, she has the right look for it, I do think it would have been better worn as a jacket though, November in the UK is really not the weather for skirts that short!!

I really am not a fan. I think that teh stylign is messy on an already complicated dress. Oof course black pumps woudl ahv ebeen worse and all, but this just does’t work together. Also, I think that ht edress swamps her a bit, it is a little ice skater, it is more swan lake to me though. Also, the exposed zipper at the back that marchesa seem so desperate to ruin every look with is irritating. Also, when a top was presnted as a top on the runway, I think it should either be lengthened, or worn as a top when worn elsewhere.

Both, iceskater but I think she pulls this off because it is age appropriate. The shoe’s aren’t working for me with the dress. I would have done something more strappy… probably along the lines of Jimmy Choo.

Im not a Selena fan by any means, but even i had to comment that I was definitely a fan of this look! she looks quite pretty and the dress is gorgeous
So I wonder what happens if she sits down, does she have to cross her legs? I hope there is a pair of bike shorts or leotard material underneath! She looks really cute and pretty, but I agree that it is way TOO short.
I’m not sold on the peep toes but she makes this work. Even though this is extremely short the long sleeves and her general demeanor saves it from being “trashy”. She is one of the few young ones who actually gets it right, is age appropriate and wears things that work on her girlish body. Thumbs up. I like the hair and make up too.
I think she looks beautiful. While it may be a tad too short she does pull it off. In terms of the back, that my friends is how you do a sheer/nude back, none of the ugly zippers we have seen. I love Marchesa
