Michelle Williams continued to confidently work her pixie cut on the red carpet whilst attending the ‘My Week With Marilyn’ AFI FEST premiere in New York City this weekend.
The actress looks beyond gorgeous wearing an Oscar de la Renta strapless tulle dress from the Resort 2012 collection.
Jimmy Choo ‘Tema’ black strappy sandals with a gold embellished heel were teamed with this sweetheart dress with a floaty tulle layered skirt.
I would’ve liked her to have added more punch to this look by opting for an unexpected footwear colour like green or purple simply because she didn’t add any accessories.
You can buy Michelle’s dress from Saks.com.

this is a perfect look for michelle
her dress is flattering and the shoes are divine!
i love it a lot. This is very classy and wonderfully fitted to her body.
I understand that many would like earrings with the look, but i love that she let’s her gorgeous face and skin speak for itself. there is something so elegant in her bareness. Not everybody could pull that off.
Cute outfit, love the shoes but she gives it no life.
She needs jewelry. She looks unfinished and bare.
totally agree. I’m not a fan of those shoes with this dress, either. The pixie haircut doesn’t do a thing for her, IMO…..
I agree, a bracelet at least… I love her haircut…
Her makeup is perfect – I love her face so much. Agree that some jewelry (maybe a bright green necklace?) would have been nice, but still she looks great.
She looks bare, but the shoe choice make up for it. She’s pretty perfect most of the time in my book
She looks gorgeous, but would it kill her to wear a pair of earrings?
The dress is divine. She should have worn some small emerald earrings.
+1. I like the shoe choice. Would have loved a pop of color at the ear.
These shoes ara amaaaazing.
Adorable. That dress is a great fit for her, and I’m glad she’s still rocking that pixie cut. Did you read her quote about it, FC? That she wears it in tribute for Heath?
Yes it was in Elle UK i think
For once, I am a fan. However, she looks like she is really lacking confidence in those heels. Great shoes, btw
I feel like she`s slightly overwhelmed by the skirt – it shoud`ve been a tad shorter. Would`ve preferred a more delicate heel as it distracts rather than complements the dress.
BDOTW pretty please!
She’s flawless, love the dress, love the shoes, she looks simply amazing. Also her hair and make up are perfect.
I agree FC. This would have been nearly perfect if she added some accessories. She looks unfinished and it makes me sad ahha. She is gorgeous though.
One of the rare times that I think Michelle looks terrific. The dress was made for her, and I absolutely love the shoes. I would’ve like to see some color, and earrings or a bracelet could have done that. On the whole, though, a great look for her.
This is one of the best looks I’ve seen on her in a while. She could have done many things to make this pop and take it to another level but she doesn’t strike me as the daring type. I have to agree with Maria her best accessory here is her flawless skin so I don’t mind the lack of accessories. I’m glad to see her in something that is well fitted and works on her body. It’s a great look for her.
I think she looks beautiful! She doesn’t need all that frou fraw. And I know you love a pop of color, FC, but Michelle is not really the pop of color type!
true.
She is gorgeous!! great dress, great shoes and great hair and makeup!! some jewelry would make this beyond perfect
I think this is perfect as is.
