Jennifer Hudson In Michael Kors – Tokyo’s Fashion’s Night Out & Omotesando Store Opening

Jennifer Hudson was in Tokyo, Japan, on Saturday night to help Michael Kors celebrate his new Omotesando store opening and Tokyo’s Fashion’s Night Out.

The svelte singer is becoming quite the ambassador for Michael Kors and I can see why.

She donned a stunning Michael Kors Spring 2012 leopard-print long-sleeve dress for FNO.

You know I have a mild weakness for leopard print, so you’ll know that I almost passed out at the fabulousness of this look which has a gathered detail on the waist.

The actress/singer sported sleek, straight locks and added Ferragamo black pumps to her look.

Whilst recovering from the first look, Jennifer’s second Michael Kors outfit almost rendered me speechless at the Michael Kors Celebration of American Fashion at the US Ambassador’s Residence in Japan on the same night.

Her black Michael Kors Spring 2012 fishtail gown with a gold python yoke shows off all that hard work.

If she hasn’t given herself a pat on the back yet, now is the time.

She’s simply sensational. I can’t pick a favourite look.

Can you?

I think I am in a bit of shock. I can’t think of a word to describe how beautiful she looks! she is totally rocking Michael Kors!! I have loved Jennifer at any size and she is just as beautiful now as she was a few years ago but I love the amazing confidence that she is exuding and the risks she is taking. I can’t pick a favourite they are both as breathtaking as each other and she is definitely in my Best dressed of the YEAR!!

  3. Zuzu November 8, 2011 at 10:06 #

Black dress, by far! She looks amazing!

  4. CreoleLady November 8, 2011 at 09:48 #

The black gown is my fave, no doubt. Superb. I do wish that her hair was up or back so I could’ve appreciate the neckline of the dress even more.

    I pick the black.

  7. Jones19 November 7, 2011 at 23:06 #

Stunning looks but I can’t stand that same pose she rocks every single time.

  8. gurlygurl November 7, 2011 at 22:53 #

Too hard to choose, they’re such different looks and they both work so well. She looks amazing.

  9. Elle November 7, 2011 at 21:24 #

Curvalicious!!! I pick the black because it made me gasp! She is looking great and glad she was able to get fit. She seems quite pleased with herself. I do with the hair was done differently. Sensational nonetheless!

Both great looks…it’s hard to decide. She is really working that black dress

  11. smolls November 7, 2011 at 18:38 #

She looks amazing in both…but she looks like a barbie doll (in a good way) in the black gown…STUNNING!! 🙂

  12. Behold_MJW November 7, 2011 at 18:27 #

Amazing. Jennifer Hudson looks stunning. I can’t Choose, but i do luv that Black gown, The dress really shows off her body.

  13. Rebecca Z November 7, 2011 at 17:44 #

She looks spectacular. Speechless. DBOTW in black

  14. Juliana R. November 7, 2011 at 17:42 #

I’m in love with the black dress. For me it’s the best she ever looked. She’s glowing!

  15. Fee November 7, 2011 at 17:32 #

Agree it’s a shame her hair hides the neckline on the gown.

I sometimes feel a bit sad when curvier stars succumb to the tyranny of thin, especially when they were already beautiful like Jennifer, but she looks so amazing I can’t begrudge her. That is some serious discipline right there.

  16. Giuseppi Giraffe November 7, 2011 at 17:31 #

The black dress is my favorite, but they’re both amazing. What a figure!

  17. Tamia November 7, 2011 at 16:53 #

I can’t recall a more stunning transformation!well done Jennifer you look out of this world!

  18. carolina November 7, 2011 at 16:43 #

    the second look for sure.
i blame the kardashians for ruining leopard print for me 🙁

  19. Marybeth November 7, 2011 at 16:39 #

If she had worn her hair up, the second look would win BDOTW in a landslide. But even with the bad hair, the look is surely a contender.

I am NOT a big fan of leopard-print garments (as opposed to accessories) but I must admit I really love the first look too.

  20. Moxie November 7, 2011 at 16:23 #

She is rocking both looks, but I have to go with the black Michael Kors dress. She looks phenomenal.

  21. Parvati November 7, 2011 at 16:21 #

I definitely prefer the second look. She looks gorgeous in this black gown.

  22. Anna November 7, 2011 at 16:21 #

    she looks too perfect!

  23. D November 7, 2011 at 15:57 #

    amazing black 🙂

  24. Camellia November 7, 2011 at 15:53 #

The black gown is spectacular. I keep scrolling back for another look.

  25. GusMex November 7, 2011 at 15:40 #

the black one is amazing on her, i just wich she coul put her hair up or somewhere else, i wanna see her neck, and shoulders, that can make this look more statuesque, IMO

  26. Hannah November 7, 2011 at 15:28 #

The black gown is my favourite. She looks incredible I was bored of her dragging this same look out time afte rtime, but it’s been a few months so I’ll give her that, though her feet look awfully painful in the leopard print lookk.

  27. Nicole November 7, 2011 at 15:22 #

Whilst I love the leopard print dress, the gown is literally leaving me speechless (which is a hard thing to do 😉 I have never seen Jennifer look so gorgeous. I can’t stop looking at it!

  28. Keeks November 7, 2011 at 15:19 #

Michael Kors and Jennifer Hudson is an amazing combination. This is the best she’s looked in ages. Stunning!

    • Linda November 7, 2011 at 23:00 #

      They are a good combo.

  29. AW November 7, 2011 at 15:18 #

The clothes are fabulous! Her shape is fabulous and I love the smile!

On the other hand the wig is ridiculous but baby steps…

  30. fromchi-town November 7, 2011 at 15:17 #

Oh my good god!! I am speechless. The leopard print look is fabulous – but the black one simply fierce. She is on fire. I am picking my jaw off the floor.

  31. Alina November 7, 2011 at 15:17 #

I loooove them both! I just can’t choose!
It’s the first time I’m speechless of how beautiful her looks are.

  32. mm November 7, 2011 at 15:12 #

She rocked it with both looks. The gown is my favorite. The hair perfection.

  33. noo November 7, 2011 at 15:10 #

the black dress is amaaaaaaaaaazing 😀

  34. karine_05_p November 7, 2011 at 15:07 #

Gorgeous, but i would have preferred the hair up for the second look.

    • dee November 7, 2011 at 17:42 #

I was gonna say the same thing. Her hair should have been up for the black gown.

      • Nat39 November 7, 2011 at 18:31 #

The hair SHOULD`ve been UP! And while I prefer the black gown, her leopard-print look is executed better.

  35. Elaine2 November 7, 2011 at 15:05 #

excellent looks. But, what about that pose?

    • CB November 7, 2011 at 16:14 #

I was thinking the same thing. Does she have any other poses?

      • Jacqu November 7, 2011 at 16:38 #

It’s to make her waist look smaller. At least, that’s what I’ve gleaned from reading celebrity websites and this particular pose. I seem to recall Zellweger doing it a lot too.

        • Rebecca Z November 7, 2011 at 17:42 #

If I had her waist I’d be doing that all the time too

      • Linda November 7, 2011 at 22:59 #

I thought it was to keep your arms away from your body so they look thinner. I agree, the pose is really old and she should not do it in every single picture. She does look amazing in both dresses.

    • Jackie November 7, 2011 at 18:36 #

The pose is ruining it for me… or maybe it’s the fact that all she wears is body-con. With that body, she needs to take some risks!

With that said, I do love the second MK mermaid dress. The leopard for Jennifer is a bit gaudy IMO since she’s already always wearing body-con. It’s time for another change Ms. Hudson!

Her waist is small enough for her not to have to do that pose. There are also belts to define your waist. And the shirring on the leopard MK dress should kind of do the trick on it’s own. If anyone needs to do this pose, it’s Eva Longoria.

  36. Raquel November 7, 2011 at 15:03 #

I like the black dress better. She looks stunning and the collar detail is great. She looks fab and after everything she went through, it is nice to see her smiling.
