Emily Blunt walked down the red carpet of LACMA’s Art and Film Gala alongside her hubby, John Krasinski, on Saturday night.
She looked beautiful wearing a Jenny Packham Fall 2011 gown.
The black beaded cowl high-neck gown had a sheer skirt.
I perfer the deeper v-neckline of the gown on the runway. I wish Emily had styled hers like this.
Emily’s newly darkened mane worked well with the hue of the gown.
A black clutch and cocktail rings accessorized her gorgeous outfit.
Simple, neutral makeup perfected her look.
Had she opted for a smoky eye, it would have definitely been too much.

Why did ahe modify it to that high v? It gives her a swimmer’s physique. Would have looked amazing in the catwalk version

Sadly I must agree… that sleeve cut is not a flattering one on anyone and the deep V would have balances it out. She could even have opted for an up do to show off her neck. Having said that I think she’s divine and I do actually like the dress.
I prefer the runway neckline. I love her new dark hair.

The closed neckline makes her look wider than she really is. Her makeup looks beautiful, though.
I couldnt figure out why I didnt like this considering how much I adore the runway version, but its the neckline that ruins it. The high neckline gives her such broad shoulders, and it really makes her look manly. Just by changing the neckline, it covers her curves totally.

While I dislike the modified neckline, I absolutely hate the ugly hair – it neither flatters her face nor it works with the gown.
I think she looks great but I do prefer the runway V neckline and she would have looked amazing in it. I love this dress. I also like her new hair and like FC, I’m so glad she went for this makeup look and not a darker eye
