America Ferrera looked outstanding as she wore head-to-toe red for the ‘Chicago’ photocall in London yesterday.
The actress celebrated her London stage debut as Roxie Hart wearing a Nicole Miller long-sleeve red dress.
Her curve-defining jersey dress was teamed with matching Giuseppe Zanotti velvet peep-toe slingbacks.
For someone who used to live in head-to-toe black, I’m very excited to see American wearing such a vivid colour.
First Dita, now America is opting to go head-to-toe red.
How do you feel about this trend?

i don’t mind the trend, although i don’t do matchy matchy personally. but nevermind that, look at this woman!!! beautiful. go america.
It’s growing on me.
I love brunettes in red, so the color is lovely on America. The dress and fit are horrendous though.
To clairfiy, I dont hate the concept or silhouette of the dress and her figure looks amazing,.The fabric however, looks cheesy and that ruined it for me. If it was a better quality jersey, like a MK or DK, it would have been a whole lot better.
+1. There is a way to highlight and accentuate your hourglass figure without resorting to dresses of the cheap and overly-clingy type … see the collections of Roland Mouret and Victoria Beckham.
I think it’s really funny you both say this, since before even reading your comments I was trying to figure out the fabric! I assumed though that it was a really thick but really stretchy material, with very minor built-in ruching on the sides to create the gathering effect — and I think that’s all meant to flatter, and succeeds! Not every woman can pull off the RM/VB look of super-structured, super-classic/chic looks (which I adore, but ya gotta have the body for it), so I think this kind of dress is a wonderful alternative!
I like the trend, and America looks great in this!
Also, I had no idea she was going to be in Chicago (one of my fav musicals), good for her! She’s come a long way since Ugly Betty!
so looks absolutely beautiful and is totally working it, everything is just perfect. i love the red trend
I love the trend becuase red is my favortie color. She looks hot. love her curves.
I don’t like the trend but I like America’s look.
She looks fabulous!
am really not a fan of being this matchy-matchy and the dress isn’t anything exciting or special — it’s a basic red dress that clings, but america looks amazing.
I agree! Plus she has such a pleasant demeanor so it adds to it.
She looks….. oh-so-fabulous. I want her diet too *-* she looks just amazing. I wish I’d see more of her on TV…
She’s gorgeous!
drop dead gorgeous!
Im loving this look on her! Good curves
I love this shade of red on America – she looks gorgeous, love her hair too.
ITA +1.
She’s looking very shapely and sexy in that dress!
Wow – she looks mind blowing. I just love those curves.
wow. she looks awesome
and the fit is perfect!
She looks beautiful. I love that she’s a real woman with curves and not a lollipop head walking hanger.
One nit picky thing, her hair needs help, it’s looking a little…flaccid
Wow, love her in this. The head to toe red works for me in this case as it’s only two pieces (and she kept the lip neutral). Dita’s look was just too much red and and odd outfit choice considering everyone else at Derby Day was is Black & White (as it’s racing tradition).
After Leighton (as Blair in the Big Blue House ) and Dita looking red-iculous, I’m just waiting for someone to show up looking like Poison Ivy.
Yowsa. Personally I’d prefer a metallic shoe, but still. Her hips are gorgeous!
Beautiful, Outstanding, Gorgeous, I miss her on my TV, she should be back on The Good Wife
I agree that it looks good on her–partly the shade and tone, partly the minimalism, partly just her–she looks good in this color and she looks like a real human being. Dita is so stylized, and the red shade she chose was over the top. I think this trend just needs to be done tastefully when it is done, like everything else.
She looks hot! The color is really doing wonders for her and her body looks amazing.
I love the matchy matchy trend but it’s not really working for me here. The dress really shows off her fabulous figure though.
very nice!
va-va-voom!
She has never looked better!
America is working this dress! It somehow looks ladylike and pretty though it seems like it would instead come across as super sexy because of how it hugs the body.
No bother – it looks great!
