Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Monthly Archives: October 2011

Madonna took to the red carpet in London last night for the ‘W.E.’ London Film Festival premiere which was held at the Empire, Leicester Square.

She donned a L’Wren Scott Spring 2012 dress.

The signature L’Wren Scott fitted LBD was embroidered with a hot-pink leaf detail from the shoulder to the hemline.

Fishnet tights and black pumps accessorized her look.

Despite feeling like I’ve seen this style of dress a thousand times on the red carpet, it was the perfect look for Madonna who is the director and not the star of this movie.

When Fan Bingbing wore Jason Wu this weekend, there was a definite 50/50 like/dislike split as the actress tried a new look.

On two other occasions during the Tokyo Film Festival she wore Elie Saab Couture gowns.

The first was an Elie Saab Spring 2011 Couture gown.

Her stunning blush strapless floor-sweeping gown with floral embroidered details was worn with a superior elegance that only a few possess.

She opted for a dark pink lip colour to prevent her from appearing washed out.

The second Elie Saab Couture gown was from the recent Fall 2011 collection.

I love this midnight blue colour on Fan Bingbing. It’s not often we see her wearing dark colours.

This v-neck gown shimmers with subtle, embellished details.

Both looks were styled with Cartier jewels.

It’s only early on Monday and we already have three gorgeous looks from Fan Bingbing.

Alexis Bledel attended the Rodeo Drive Walk of Style Award Honoring Iman And Missoni in Beverly Hills, California on Sunday evening.

The actress wore a Missoni Fall 2011 sleeveless maxi dress which seems more suited to summer.

Her multi-coloured crochet-knit dress with the signature zigzag print was teamed with a gold clutch.

As always I’m hypnotized by those baby-blue eyes.

Teen actress Chloe Moretz attended Variety’s 5th Annual Power Of Youth Event which was held at the Paramount Studios in Hollywood, California on Saturday.

She opted to wear a fun Kenzo Spring 2012 look.

Many of you have commented that her red carpet looks never quite seem age-appropriate, but I’m sure you’ll agree she hit the right note on this occasion.

Her blonde waves tumbled down her green piquet jacquard Kenzo sweater which was paired with a black, white and orange raffia Kenzo skirt.

Hot-pink strappy sandals completed her look.

Salma Hayek continued to promote her latest movie ‘Puss In Boots’ by attending the premiere in Westwood, California this weekend.

The actress continues to showcase brands within the Gucci Group; this time she’s the first to wear a Bottega Veneta Spring 2012 dress.

I’m relieved that she opted for this chocolate brown, white and black chiffon one-shouldered dress.

As hard as she tries, edgy looks just don’t work for her.

Her dress was accessorized with a gold Alexander McQueen clutch and black peep-toe slingbacks.

Ombre Farrah-Fawcett-flippy locks and a nude lip colour completed her look.

Andrea Riseborough sported a brand new ‘do when she took to the red carpet during the London Film Festival last night for the ‘W.E.’ premiere.

The formerly raven-haired actress showed off her newly dyed blonde tresses wearing a Christian Dior Spring 2011 Couture gown.

Her previous Dior Couture gown took our breath away, but I’m not having that same feeling on this occasion.

Whilst I prefer the runway version of this gown, Andrea’s military-style navy-and-nude tulle gown is more befitting to the fall season.

A whipsy updo, black satin peep-toes and an embellished clutch completed her look.

Which look do you prefer?

Runway or red carpet?
