I hadn’t been that excited about any of the gowns we’d seen so far at the 2011 Rome Film Festival.
That all changed when Carolina Crescentini stepped onto the red carpet for the ‘L’Industriale’ premiere yesterday evening.
She looked graceful as she glided down the red carpet wearing a Valentino Resort 2012 gown.
Her mint-green gown with floral appliqués was accented with a ribbon tied to the waist.
I love her classy updo and her beaded clutch which perfectly complements her gown.
Carolina injected some much-needed old Hollywood glamour into this event.
This is my first contender for BDOTW.

Stunning!
I love the mint on the runway (and prefer the belt). Is this the dress she wore FC? It’s appearing a dreary greige in the photo.
I think it’s the same.
Studio lights v outdoor lights
I agree the colour seems a bit off but I thought it might just be the photo
For some reason I don’t like it, she looks so old.
I love Carolina and she’s amazing in this dress! She was also stunning in Gucci at the Venice film festival (http://www.style.it/moda/photogallery/protagonisti-ed-eventi/2011/09/02/venezia-68-dettagli-di-stile.aspx/carolina-crescentini-gucci/scheda)
Early BDOTW for sure.
I think she looks beautiful in this dress, but she does look about 20 years older than the woman in Gucci in Venice.
she does look beautiful, her hair and makeup is perfect. very lovely dress
She looks very pretty.
Love the dress in the studio lighting but it looks so dreary on the red carpet.
Camera flashes can sure suck the color out of a dress on the red carpet if that’s what is going on here. Carolina looks classy and elegant.
Beautiful, but the purse could have been better.
Love the updo, works so well with the dress. Although not excited much about it on her, this look is BDOTW worthy for me.
I love the dress, but it kind of shortens her and I am not loving the end result. I am guessing that’s why the model is striking that pose.
I thought it was a kind of a soft pewter tone before I read what you wrote. I actually liked the grayish look better than the pastel green- it looks so regal and less like something that would be worn to a prom or a beauty pageant, but maybe that’s just me…
This should definitely be BDOTW- she looks fabulous.
I love this….definitely evokes Old Hollywood for me!!
