Solange Knowles was spinning the decks at the Burberry Body Launch event which was hosted at the Beverly Hills store by Christopher Bailey and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley yesterday evening.
She wore a print shirt and a teal high-waist skirt with an asymmetrical detail.
It’s a good thing she wore those Burberry Prorsum Resort 2012 beaded sandals, because the rest of her ensemble is a big miss; especially the skirt.
I appreciate that she wanted to be individual at this event and not a head-to-toe runway clone, but she would’ve looked a whole lot better wearing a look from the Burberry Spring or Resort 2012 collection.
Since she’s very much into wearing tribal prints, I’m very surprised she didn’t lap up this collection.
On this occasion she sported a tamer ‘fro to the Diane Ross-like mane she showcased on her last red carpet outing.

She forgot the basket of fruit on her head. Lord this is a mess!
yup, one big hot mess
love the heels! hate the rest of her outfit, she always seems to be trying too hard
Separately these pieces could have worked.
So beautiful shoes. It is my favorite
major mess.
Those shoes need a much simpler outfit.
I like it a lot. She really seems to have fun with fashion every time I see her, a thing that her sister lacks.
I really like this look. To me it’s interesting and it all works together and I really like her hair. The overall effect is eyecatching.
I agree, I like it too. I dont love the skirt. But you said it right very eyecatching. I am really lovin how her style is evolving.
Love the shoes, really like the nail polish, “oh dear” about the rest.
love the shoes, but it’s not my favorite look from her. I prefer that shoes on Leighton… Lastima lo de su cabello
i love those shoes and i don’t dislike the outfit, although it looks somewhat uncomfortable with the high waist.
I am not sure if she cut her hair, but i like her with the longer hair.
I actually like this look. I think she is pulling this off.
I actually like it too. Maybe the skirt is too long or to big for her frame but I love how Solange mixes prints
I also like it all, just that the fit is slightly off, but everything is done in an interesting way for me.
The shirt and the skirt are not very flattering but those shoes are TDF.
I don’t think you could regard this as a miss. In South Africa, it would be considered very stylish, this is what the ladies wear, its a cultural thing
True… she does show hints of Afrocentrism. I love the way African women in Africa dress but I’m not 100% sold on the look on her for some reason.
I like it as well.
Great skirt and divine shoes… although I would not wear them together.
As others have mentioned, it looks fun. This outfit is exuberant. It’s individual. Only she’d try it and only she could pull it off.
IMO she looked like she’s been tangoed her face looks orange. The colour of her shirt does not suit her skin tone. Thhe skirt doesn’t go with the shirt but the shoes do.
