It was another family night out as Sarah Jessica Parker, Matthew Broderick and young James Wilkie Broderick hit the red carpet for the ‘Tower Heist’ New York premiere.
SJP wore a Narciso Rodriguez dress with Fred Leighton jewels.
I’ve tried really hard, but I’m failing to like this blush, copper and royal-blue cotton-taffeta dress.
I don’t feel like this style of dress suits SJP at all.
It’s not particularly flattering, especially around the chest area.
I would have loved to have seen this dress on Elle Fanning, as this dress seems more appropriate for someone within her age bracket.
A rare red carpet miss for SJP.
Black suede pumps and a side-swept curly bun completed her look.

I love this dress on her – the colour combination really suits her – but the bodice is soooo ill fitting. Disappointing.
I agree FC I don’t like it much but I think it may have been nice on Elle Fanning, only if it sits better though. The whole dress is ill-fitting, sitting funny and is not flattering. I like the colours together though.
Apart from the fact the dress looks slightly to big I actually love it!! Something about it really suits her personality… maybe its the colour combination?
me too
me three, i liked it instantly
Yeah its slightly big, but coz shes smiling so happily the whole look is great!
I agree…she’s able to pull it off
yeah the dress is nice in theory (love the colour combo) but the fit is all wrong
love the dress, but it needs to be more fitted around the bust. the hair and make-up is PERFECT!
I like the colour-blocking on this dress, but the fabric and the shape look just awful.
It looks like she bought a dress three sizes up, what is going on? I would have loved this if it fit her.
The fit and proportions are bad – but I somehow still like it. The colors are great, and its different.
+2
This looks very matronly for some reason…the bow on the belly?…I dunno. It’s bad though.
I like it. It doesn’t have the normal “glamour” quotient that she possesses on the red carpet, but it does have the supportive wife/fun mom/family woman combination that is nice to see sometimes. It’s style enough that would be over the top at a Sunday brunch in Delaware, but not a scene stealer. Yup. I like it.
No on the dress, YES on the hair and makeup–and of course the happy smile and sparkling eyes–she looks really happy, and that can sell almost anything.
Hi Sarah, my grandma called…she wants her apron back..The dress fit is terrible
I honestly don’t even careabout the dress because her shoes aren’t white. Thank god.
Baaaad.
hi fc, i think this is a lovely dress apart from the fitting issue around the chest! also was just wondering why you aren’t doing coverage of x factor uk this year? would be interesting to hear your thoughts on tulisa and kelly! xxx
I’m not watching it.
From what I’ve seen mostly Herve leger dresses it’s not worth wasting money on pictures to writing about
Not a good look. Ill – fitting, puckers in all the worng places.
I don’t like the dress/fit of the dress on her but I love the colors of the dress and the shoes together!!!
so ugly!
I like it. Great shoes.
