Keira Knightley took to the red carpet tonight for the London Film Festival premiere of her latest movie, ‘A Dangerous Method’.
I was delighted to see her wearing something that wasn’t predictable on this occasion.
She looked amazing wearing a Roksanda Ilincic Resort 2012 dress.
This black and dove grey look is a brave choice on a cold winter night in London, but she totally rocks it as she’s so statuesque and graceful.
Her calf length dress with a criss-cross bodice and keyhole detail was styled with a super slick side parted bun.
Black ankle strap sandals, a Chanel ring and a nude lip colour completed her look.
Many of you continue to dislike this length of dress on the red carpet, so how do you feel about it on Keira?

I love calf length dresses to be honest. I also love keira knightley. So this is a perfect sartorial heaven for me. She totally rocks the look!

I really lile the lenght, even though I’d never wear it with my (lack of) height. I just wish she had chosen something without straps on her ankles…
The problem with this length is that it shrinks people. It doesn’t matter whether is on the red carpet or not, it’s just never good a choice.
As much as I love her here, I can’t help but admit yet again that she needs to ease up on the cakey foundation.

I love this look. She always looks so effortlessly chic.
I don’t mind this type of length. I do think wearing ankle strap shoes with it is always a bad geometrical decision.
I like the runway presentation of the dress better. I prefer the blue top and the skirt sits higher on the bust, leaving the keyhole smaller and more tasteful.
Ditto on liking the runway presentation better in both fit and colouring.
The problem I have with this length is that is cuts people’s legs off, they end up looking shorter ans often stumpy, this particular dress I like better because the skirt is slightly tapered but I find that the ankle strap shoes undo all the improvement the shape of the skirt provided. I would have done a dove gray open toe, single platform decolte shoe, no straps to be seen so as not to interrupt the line.
How do I feel about it? Not my favourite thing. It can be so awkward sometimes. But how do I feel about it on Keira? It’s so perfect I barely cannot describe it right. Statuesque and graceful, yeah. Thank you!

I think this is a lovely look for her, even wearing what can be a difficult length for mortals; but the most heartening aspect of it, to me at least, is that she is finally presenting a healthy weight, not scary-skinny as she was for so many years. She looks terrific!
I don’t really like this length, but I think it looks good on Keira! This is a great look on her! The only thing I’d change is the hairstyle – I’d love to see her in a more relaxed but still chic one.
I checked more photos and I actually like the hairstyle from the side. It’s from the front that I find it a bit weird.

Keira wears this with cool perfection. I don’t dislike this dress length, but think that it only suits certain people, Keira is one of them. I love the shoes too and can’t imagine this won’t make the BDOTW list!

The dress is still too long. Had it been slightly below knee-length, it may have been quite pretty.

She def. pulls it off, don`t mind the ankle straps in this case as they are very thin.The hairstyle doesn`t flatter her face but works really well with the outfit. The only thing that bothers me here is the awkward hole in the middle of her stomach, cheapens the overall chic.
This length doesn’t work for everyone but this is stunning. I like the little peek a boo on the torso and the crossover neckline. That little bit of skin balances it all out nicely. I also love the skinny ankle straps. She looks amazing.

I love Keira’s look! I actually think it looks better on her than the model. I like how the bodice sits lower on her. Those shoes look perfect with the mid length hem. Very elegant.

Beautiful dress, I like her hairstyle and make up, but I think this length would be unflattering on everybody, if the skirt would have been tighter maybe it would have looked better. So, no, I don’t like this neither on Keira.

I am in love with the length. Her look is so simple yet so beautiful. She looks great overall.
Why does she look so unhappy recently? (actually it’s been a while now). I can’t like anything of what she’s wearing if she looks like that. Also, I don’t like the top part of the dress, I don’t think it suits her at all…or the hair, or the length. Seems that I’m the only one, but I miss the old Keira that would wear stunning gowns and would always be perfect.
I actually like this look on Keira and the slimness of the dress suits her. It is a refreshing look for her as lately she has been hiding in fully lacy gowns.
