Hailee Steinfeld also attended Variety’s 5th Annual Power Of Youth Event which was held at Paramount Studios in Hollywood, California on Saturday.
She looked adorable wearing a Chanel cropped black and red jacket over a white Jil Sander top.
Her J Brand shorts were paired with knee-length socks to keep the look more youthful and less Britney.
A fun pork pie hat and Chanel steel toe-cap brogues completed her look.
Since she’s no longer the face of Miu Miu, she seems to be dressing more like a teenager again.

She looks cute but the outfit is a little tragic. I like the top half but the bottom half is not so good.
I agree. Personally I don’t understand the massive use of denim shorts… I would just wear them to go to the beach.
Firstly, I must say that I have major hair envy. I also adore her jacket and white shirt and denim shorts, but I really hate these hats, I find them try-hard and on hailee sitting too high up on her head, as if it hasn’t been put on properly. I also seriously, seriously dislike the chanel brogues, http://www.chanel.com/fashion/7-fashion-accessories#7-satin-lace-up-shoes-with-steel-cap-toe-2,2,3,32
Many thanks for the ID x
you’re very welcome x
To me, these shorts and jacket cannot live under the same roof as they are each other’s complete opposite. Change one of them and you’ll have a gorgeous look.
(shiver) The look may be “youthful”, but for me it’s not attractive…
I agree. The only piece I like is the Chanel jacket and the blouse is OK. The hat, the shorts and the brogues paired with these socks… no, they don’t work at all, for me.
Young and fresh. Like it!
Love this look! Those knee highs complete this entire look.

the top half is cute but no to the shorts.
Cut off jeans will never be appropriate on the red (pink) carpet in my book!! No matter how youthful the event.
Those kind of shorts are for sidewalk style and beach wear only!
I love this look
it´s cute, but not the denim shorts, they don’t go with the rest of the outfitt. The jacket is great.
massive hot mess. pairing a gorgeous chanel jacket with cut off shorts, what next chanel couture with ugg boots.
also i wish she would cut her hair or atleast do something with it.
she is such a cutie, love that she always looks young and fresh!! She needs to push the hat down a touch and change out the shoes. But the clothes are fab. love the jacket with the crisp white shirt.
Pretty much a mess, but she seems to be having fun so who cares.
This isn’t working.
I love it.
I don’t know why (I haven’t even seen True Grit), but I have such a soft spot for this girl.
Maybe I’m minority, but I think almost all the Miu Miu stuff she had been wearing did not suit her AT ALL.
This is much more cute and age-appropriate. I adore it.
She looks like one of the Von Trapp family singers. Way too over thought.
I like this look~ she’s adorable~~
in my mind, this embodies the spirit with which chanel should get worn. there remains something so insouciant about wearing something as classic as a chanel jacket — and something as timeless as the jil sander CLASSIC white button down — with steel-toed boots and distressed denim. the only thing that would make me like this outfit more would be if she switched that light shade of denim for something darker like black.
I think this is too styled out. The hat is the worst thing, the denim shorts a close second.
There are too many things going on here. Take a couple out or swap it for something more basic…. it doesn’t matter which things.
