Kate Bosworth joined Frederic Fekkai and Lisa Love to celebrate the announcement of the 2011 CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund finalists announcement held at Chateau Marmont in LA yesterday afternoon.
She wore a Proenza Schouler Spring 2012 look.
This look feels like she threw a few pieces together in the hope that it would work.
It doesn’t for me.
The lime top with the zebra print and brown skirt are a huge mismatch (even on the runway) and when you add the orangey lip colour and the black accessories, I have to ask did she get dressed in the dark?

I personally don’t like the look on the runway either but I love the look on Kate! The black accessories work for me as the tie in with the skirt and I think the orange lips somehow make the top and the skirt match!

This is amazing! I love how the lipstick ties in with the toe nail polish, and she brings the dress so much more like than even bette does on the runway. If this goes up in BDOTW it’s gonna be my pick for sure.
Kate is wearing an almost exact replica of the runway and both look tragic. At least the model doesn’t have a lollipop head.

Of all the looks to take straight from the runway – I don’t understand this one. It’s too much. And the bright yellow + zebra stripes is too 80s (in the bad way).
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this. No-one does artful contrast quite like Proenza Schouler and this is yet another case where things that shouldn’t work together, ultimately do. This outfit is masterful for me and I think Kate does it such justice. If only Prada could pull off this mish-mash mentality as beautifully as this outfit does, love it. I may be in the minority here, but I think this is BDOTW material.

Kate Bosworth is one of those celebs that doesn´t have to do much wrong for me to hate what she is wearing and a lot right for me to love it. I think this is the first time that I feel she looks ok-good.
Im not dreweling over it and I probably wouldn´t go for this ensemble, but I think it really does work and I think on this occassion it is because of her.
I also love seeing autumm type of colours with partly summery cuts, considering the time of year. I find summer looks annoying now and heavy winter ones suffocating, even if it is raining in New York and getting colder in London.
I never thought Id say this, but overall Im pleasantly surprised by Kate.
I don’t hate it as much as you do FC but I don’t love it either. The shoes are really ugly and that skirt is the ickiest shade of brown.

I think she looks urban and chic. Proenza Schouler always pushes the boundaries of color and patterns, and they continue to do so with this look. Their aesthetic isn’t always my favorite, but I think this combination is youthful, yet sophisticated. I could, however, do without the shoes

I like the outfit, but not the hairstyle OR the lip color. Other than that, though, it’s kind of a fun, edgy outfit which is something that appeals to me for some reason…

It’s a BDOTW for me!
You can tell the ringers by how much gushing they’re doing over this eyesore. But then, I guess so many people believe the hype that’s why some “fashion” is followed by the sheeple. Bosworth is blah at best and PS need to stop liking the smell of their own BS.
I think it’s fun! I’m not a huge Kate Bosworth fan, but this looks natural and comfortable on her, and I like something different.
How did this end up on the BDOTW list? Rather unfortunate. Shoe is worng, Proportions get weird at the wasist. Yes it’s different, but no, she shouldn’t have.
