Versace For H&M

This morning H&M officially released the images of the Versace for H&M collection which will launch in 300 H&M stores and online on November 17.

Versace aficionados will see that the collection references many of Versace’s iconic pieces as well as recent collections.

The collection is rich with bright colours, exuberant prints, daringly short minis, leather jackets, figure-hugging dresses, print leggings, and studded leather dresses.

Accessories include studded bags, printed scarves, high-heel laced boots, bracelets, necklaces and a velvet bag with a Miami palm print.

‘The collection for H&M is the essence of Versace,’ Donatella Versace said. ‘For the collaboration we’ve brought back from the archives as well as from more recent collections, some of the key icons of Versace, such as the bright prints, the Greek key and daring cuts. I can’t wait to see how H&M’s wide audience will make these pieces their own.’

Adorbs! The Times did a piece last week on the resale of some of the more iconic H&M designer collections and the Missoni for Target collection.
People are reselling them on Ebay for quite a profit!
The worlds cutest Missoni bicycle that retailed for $399 went for $1299!

    • Fashion Critic October 20, 2011 at 13:52 #

That is crazy. At £1299 you might as well buy the original.

even the free hangers from the lanvin collection were for sale on ebay for $40 for a set of six. I hate that all these people are able to get the pieces not because they really want them but because they know there are people desperate enough to give them a disgusting amount of profit for it on ebay

it takes the fun out of it for me when they do that.

I feel sorry for those getting ripped off.

I never buy those types of things from Ebay.

I’ll be in minority and say I dont really like this stuff. They look like tacky 90′s clothes threw up on them. From what Ive read in the past, the price point is quite high, for H&M that is. Do your self a favor and invest in a REAL piece of Versace.

    • Mick October 20, 2011 at 15:46 #

I don’t really like most of the stuff too, actually, apart from a couple of items maybe. Definitely won’t be queuing!

I don’t really like almost anything. I quite like number 7, 27,28 and 31, but that is abotu it. I also adore the basic belts, but I highly doubt I will bother goign to queue, if I see them in hennes after the first day I might try them on, but I think there are pieces I would rather buy from Zara, the whole collections is too eighties for me, and Versace was at it’s best circa 08 and 09 for me, none of which really reflects this collection.

Very well done but nothing will ever come close to the gorgeousness that was the lanvin H&M collaboration *sighs* That reminds me FC I’d love to see a pic of you of the big shoulder ruffle dress you picked up from the collection x

some of it is cute, but some of it looks costumey. saying that i really wish they had included something featuring the medusa symbol. the metallic dress is gorgeous other than that meh.

    the menswear pieces are hideous.
