Shailene Woodley In Christian Dior – ‘The Descendants’ London Film Festival Premiere

Shailene Woodley joined co-star George Clooney on the red carpet tonight for the London Film Festival premiere of their new movie, ‘The Descendants’.

The young American actress, who was considered one of the 55 faces of the future by Nylon Magazine’s Young Hollywood Issue, graced the red carpet wearing a Christian Dior Fall 2011 mini dress.

Her strapless dress with an embroidered bodice and a ruffled tulle skirt was a brave choice considering how cold it is in London.

I wouldn’t have been surprised if she’d styled her look like the runway and added the blazer.

Shailene look was teamed with the Christian Dior Fall 2011 runway heels. She has opted to wear them without the additional ties.

This look would’ve been perfect has she worn her hair back, but she needed something to keep her warm.

I don’t mind the long hair, it’s kinda fun and young. The dress seems to fit well and I do also like the modified shoe on her as well.

Oh, wow, that`s a lot of hair – to balance the heaviness of her shoes, I presume… Unfortunately, the bulky strappy shoes don`t translate with this pretty cute dress on the red carpet without the blazer.

The dress is really cute, but the shoes are too heavy. I dont mind her hair mostly because it balances out the heavy shoes (as Nat39 said) and she has really nice hair. Shailene and Kate Middleton must have traded notes…. :)

i like it. It’s cute and youthful. The blazer would have taken it up a notch, but still….

to be completely honest it looks more like betsey johnson than christian dior.

the shoes look like they are from the high street rather than a high end designer.

It’s a little to negligee-ish for a teenager to be wearing for my tastes…

The blazer would have put the look together more and kept her warm. She has flawless hair though so I understand why she let it loose.

Her hair is so gorgeous i need to seriously focus to look at the dress and shoes.. not sure how bad that is tho

I love that dress and those shoes… the runway styling is drool worthy too. Shailene is super cute and the outfit works nicely but her hair is a little too wild…looks like she caught a huge gust of wind. I would have liked to have seen more of the neckline of the dress and straps.

She actually wore the blazer http://www.gettyimages.com/detail/129950657/Getty-Images-Entertainment-Video but i guess she took it.
She looked beautiful though. Wish she did something with her hair.

Ahhh…I wondered because it so cold in London.

      Thanks for that

Cute – but the blazer would have really worked, especially with the heavier shoes.

This is a great look, I am so excited to see her on the red carpet. It is fashion forward without being fashion victim and stil youthful. Also, abotu her hair, it is very, very similar to mine, escept mine is probably thicker and longer, and I wear bobbypins all the time to keep it out of my face because it’s so annoying, so good for her for wearing it liek this, except, yes, a ponytail would have been better.

She’s got amazing hair. Work it, Woodley!

Just a small clarification on the shoes: they haven’t been modified . They actually come with the straps and the ties so that you can change the shoe for the effect you want. I have to say this was not one of my favourite looks in the collection.

Thanks for the additional piece of information. It was really helpful.
