The latest stop on Elizabeth Olsen’s promo tour for her latest movie, ‘Martha Marcy May Marlene’ was at the Mill Valley Film Festival in San Rafael, California on Saturday.
The pretty girl with a string of faultless looks behind her (minus the Calvin Klein dress) looks overcooked on this occasion.
In an attempt to stand out, it comes off like she tried a tad too hard in this Preen Line Fall 2011 look.
The navy turtleneck top is my least favourite part of this look as the embellished neckline looks suffocating.
I do, however, like the Preen Line funnel skirt with two different prints.
An on-trend black Helmut Lang Eon jacket with leather sleeves and grey patent lace-up shoes completed her look.

Everything works from the waist down. A form-fitting black jacket and a simple light grey/white top would have been pefect.
Totally agree. The skirt and the lace-ups are divine. The top half of this ensemble, however, screams overdone. Too many pieces, too much texture, total overkill.
She dresses so old for someone so young. I love the skirt and I like the jacket, but not together. The entire thing overwhelms her a little – even with a better jacket and shirt I think the skirt would overpower her.
+1. I love the concept of the skirt, but Im not sure if it would actually flatter anyone.
The white blouse worn in the presentation would have worked a lot better.
This is way to baggy for her. Not flattering at all.
Baggy is the word.
I love the skirt and I need those shoes in my life. Her hair and makeup is great and she’s got a beautiful smile, but the top half of this outfit is so unfortunate.
why don`t she borrow clothes from the Row? Her sisters` clothes are not bad at all.
She wore a lot of The Row in the beginning.
I prefer to mix things up by wearing other designers otherwise it will just get boring if she wear Look 1 to Look 24 from The ROw
She looks so C U T E, I love almost all of the things she’s been wearing lately
I like this look on the model but it’s all kinds of wrong on Elizabeth. The oversized jacket hides her waist and cuts across her hips at the widest part… not a good look. It makes her look like a box from the knees up. I initially thought she may buck the trend of bad Olsen dressing however her last few outings have me worried… *sigh*… her shoes are cute though!
Yep, it’s all a bit much…
ok, has she done something to her face?I looked twice at the name you posted, FC, wondering :is she really her??
umm, sorry, i meant : is it really her?
