Hilary Duff In Étoile Isabel Marant – Barnes & Noble ‘Devoted’ Book Promotion

Hilary Duff wore her second Isabel Marant look this week when she promoted her new novel ‘Devoted’ at Barnes & Noble in New York City.

The pregnant star wore an Étoile Isabel Marant Trash Rouge printed silk dress with Charlotte Olympia striped suede platform pumps.

Whilst individually the pieces are great, together they are not quite working for me.

I really appreciate Hilary’s attempts to jazz up her fall look with colourful striped pumps, but it’s a confusing pairing to say the least.

One of the pieces needed to be solid for this to work, especially when you add the polka-dot tights to the mix.

A half-up, half-down hairstyle accented with a black hair band completed her cute, yet confusing look.

I agree that this look is a ‘bit’ much, but I do appreciate the fun factor. So great look from the neck up, fun & messy from the neck down.

Her face and hair looks lovely but the outfit is all kinds of wrong. I too like everything separately… together it just looks lik she fell in the dress up box.

OOh. Completely disagree here. Love this mod take and she is working it. Usually the poof is a fail for me the headband is giving it a nice complement. Other accessories simple. She looks like she can rock a runway show.

Too harsh calling this lovely look “tragic” imo.

I agree with you, FC, every piece is cute but together they’re a mess, most of all I don’t understand why she chose those shoes for that dress. But I love her light make up.
