Camilla Belle was, of course, at the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic event in California this weekend.
She opted to wear a Ralph Lauren Blue Label ‘Glynn’ floral dress.
Her drop-waist dress, which perfectly captures the essence of fall, has a metallic lace mesh panel and an asymmetrical skirt.
Ralph Lauren wedge sandals, gold drop earrings and a beaded bracelet completed her look.
This look may not work for some, but I think it’s perfect for her colouring.

I didn’t really care for the dress until I saw it in movement on the model. The color isn’t my favorite, but it looks great on her.

She looks gorgeous, I so adore her makeupartist/genetics, but the dress I just cannto get on board with. The colour is neither warm nor cool nor green nor brown enough to work for me and looks very cheap lord of the rings. The shoes are gorgeous but I wish she had worn bracelets/bangles on just one hand/wrist.

Love the dress, hair and makeup, not sold on the sandals however – the straps are a bit too thick, don`t quite work with the delicate intricate pattern of the dress – would prefer thinner/more delicate straps to complement the print.

When I saw Camilla Belle in this dress, I thought of a comment you wrote on a Fashion Week post, saying that drop-waist dresses will be a huge trend for the fall, but celebrities don’t usually choose them for their appearances. Well, I think this dress looks really good on Camilla and she made the right choice by accessorizing it with these wedges. I really like this outfit.
I hope to see more celebs wearing drop-waist dresses.

I think I understand why they are afraid to wear them; I don’t think they are really flattering, so I would consider them a risky choice. But well, Camilla here proves that they can look really good, so… let’s see!
