Marisa Tomei joined her co-star Evan Rachel Wood on the red carpet for their ‘The Ides Of March’ New York premiere last night.
The actress wore her second Preen Fall 2011 look whilst promoting this movie.
Whilst I loved the first one, I’m not as keen on this one.
I love the colour, but the top part of the skirt doesn’t work for me on the red carpet.
Had the skirt been all wool without the satin part, I would’ve been more excited about this look because I love the Peter Pan collar and the embellished cuffs.
A neat updo and Christian Louboutin ‘Fibbia’ peep-toes completed her look.

I think she looks way better than Evan on this premiere.
This is bad (apart from the shoes). Satin part or not, the outfit simply doesn´t suit her body type – the top pulling in all directions, short torso, heavy bottom. Plus awful hair and her signature hand in the pocket. Really bad.
Awful, the hair is terrible.
I agree, the part where the satin meets the wool is so out of the blue…I don’t get this.
this does not translate from the runway. Since Marisa a size 0, 6ft tall model, the bottom part of the skirt makes her hips look very wide. Plus the top is not as fitted as on the runway and is full of folds.
since she is not a size 0 model…
+!. A hot mess.
Hmmm….too bad
Marisa is ALWAYS a miss to me. This is just bad from head to toe. She looks short and stubby in this look. Sad.
I actually like this look. It’s not her best look, that’s for sure, but this is a very difficult dress to wear and I think that she pulls it off. And I love the shoes.
I like this to an extent, maybe not her best, but it somewhat suits her quirky and fashionable style.
I think she looks cool. The shoes go very well with the outfit. I also like that she put her hair up.
I love the dress on the model. On Marisa the dress looks sloppy and ill fitting!
I agree.
I love this look on the model because it’s all about her shape. This look is a bit matronly on Marisa, it ages her. I do think this is a hard dress to wear if you’re not 6 foot tall and a stick insect. I think Marisa herself has a great body but it just goes to show you have to work with what YOU have to make something work and this style does not work for her.
What was she thinking?!
