Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2012: Behind The Scenes

Prior to the Dolce & Gabbana show, I was invited to the VIP Room and backstage.

The VIP room is an oasis for special guests of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana who are invited to drink champagne and enjoy canapés.

A lift from the ground floor takes the guests into a beautiful room decked out with black walls, opulent chandeliers, velvet-covered sofas with gold trims and gold-framed mirrors.

I took this gorgeous picture of Paloma Faith and Poppy Delevigne who greeted each other like old friends.

Paloma, surprisingly, recognized me from the first time we met at the ‘Burlesque’ London Premiere late last year.

She was representing Dolce & Gabbana, wearing a beautiful strapless mermaid gown, evoking the “go big or go home” spirit of the brand.  I adore her pink lips and her veiled fascinator.

Poppy opted for a super-cute Dolce & Gabbana signature lace strapless dress with red lips for a sultry pop of colour.

Evan Rachel Wood In YSL – ‘Ides of March’ LA Premiere

At the ‘Ides of March’ LA Premiere last night, Evan Rachel Wood proved that she’s clearly not over her suit wearing phase.

Evan donned a crisp white YSL tuxedo jacket and skinny pants, which she teamed with a sexy black satin bustier.

The black and white theme continued to her toe-cap Giuseppe Zanotti pumps and her black diamond and pearl Neil Lane necklace.

By now we should be bored of Evan wearing a suit to every Premiere, but like Ryan she knows how to keep this androgynous look interesting.

I love her curly swept hairstyle and her smoky eyes.

A Ferragamo black lizard and silver metal double-facet clutch completed her homage to 80s Madonna.

Hailee Steinfeld In Maje – 27th Annual C.S.A. Artios Awards

Young Hailee Steinfeld is becoming quite the red carpet regular as she makes her second appearance on the red carpet within a week.

On Monday night she attended the 27th Annual Casting Society of America Artios Awards looking delightful wearing a black Maje ‘Hyeres’ dress.

Her cape dress was already very interesting, but she added some funky accessories to add a spark to her look.

I love her leopard print ankle boots which she teamed with a Edie Parker ‘Jean’ Amber Mica clutch.

Thankfully she opted for more youthful, neutral makeup on this occasion.

Hopefully next time out she will wear something more colourful.

Ryan Gosling In Gucci – ‘Ides of March’ LA Premiere

Ryan Gosling looked very handsome last night as he attended the LA Premiere of his latest movie, ‘Ides of March’.

I swooned when I saw him in this Gucci suit.

His dark green made-to-measure two-button suit was teamed with a white button-up dress shirt and dark brown and green striped tie.

As you know, I’m not one to take notice what men wear on the red carpet, but Ryan always keeps things interesting.

Sidewalk Style: Salma Hayek In Preen

Salma Hayek was spotted arriving at the Ritz Hotel in Moscow, Russia yesterday afternoon for the photocall of her new movie, ‘Puss In Boots’.

We all know that Salma wears nothing but brands within the Gucci Group, so it’s surprising to see her wearing this Preen Resort 2012 look.

Her black floral sleeveless button-down top and leather midi skirt were teamed with a black cardigan.

She opted out of wearing the floral belt as worn by the model and went for a simple black belt instead.

For someone as petite as Salma, I wish she’d opted for some heels, but I’m guessing she’s wearing boots to fit the theme of the title of her movie.

Shame it’s not ‘Puss In High-Heeled Boots’.

Chloe Moretz In Stella McCartney – “Iris” World Premiere

Chloe Moretz attended the World Premiere of ‘Iris’ in LA last night.

We have criticized the youngster’s red carpet looks recently for not being quite age-appropriate.

On this occasion she was age-appropriate and pout-free, wearing a leather biker jacket with Stella McCartney lace leggings and black strappy embellished sandals.

These mustard and black lace leggings are yet another Spring 2012 preview. The first came from Naomi Watts just last week.

Stella is very much a celebrity favourite, so I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw another preview before her show next week.

The teenager opted to go makeup free and wore her hair back in a low ponytail.
