Usually we have to wait a while for a magic moment, but Nina Dobrev served up a stunning red Donna Karan Resort 2012 gown right from the start.
I’m not usually a fan of Nina’s one-trick pony style, but she will most definitely book herself a place on the Best Dressed list, which I can confidently say after only seeing a few looks.
In black the strapless gown is so so, in red…I die.
Side swept glossy locks, a stunning silver Neil Lane necklace, Brian Atwood heels and clutch completed the look.
To get you in the mood for what will hopefully be a very successful Emmy’s red carpet tonight, I bring you Emmy Rossum.
The ‘Shameless’ actress attended the LA Opera’s White Night Season Opening Gala & Premiere Of “Eugene Onegin” At The Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in LA last night.
She stunned wearing a Johanna Johnson gown.
Her emerald green strapless bustier gown was complemented with a classic diamond and emerald necklace.
Emmy’s hair was piled high into a bun with a plait circling the bun.
I love her beautiful red lips and how her necklace falls down her back.
I challenge everyone at the Emmy’s to beat this, because this is truly breath-taking.
The fruity collection mixed neon pink, lime green, lemon and orange with paisley prints which is fast becoming the designers’ signature.
I’m certain we will see Samantha Cameron wearing this collection as the designer served up many Lady-like pieces which would be perfect for her formal occasions.
Among the ultra-feminine dresses we saw silky tops, 50s-style full skirts, satin pants, lightweight colourful blazers paired with ombre print dress, sheer chiffon cami’s were paired with satin midi skirts.
For the red carpet we saw a sexy black long sleeve embroidered dress which also came in a full-length white version. The final white dress with chiffon sleeves deserves to be worn by someone statuesque like Erin O”Connor or Tilda Swinton.
The models tresses were perfectly coiffed by Paul Hanlon for Fekkai whilst the MAC team applied wing-tipped eyeliner.

Christian Louboutin provided the wedges and sandals which were just as colourful as the collection.
