Roberto Cavalli’s Spring 2012 collection was dripping in gold.
A gold sequin jacket opened the presentation and several more gold looks followed.
Many designers have included drop-waist dresses in their Spring 2012 collections and we saw it again at Cavalli.
A stylist told me that celebrities are not too fond of wearing drop-waist dresses, but, with so many on the runway, I wonder if any would be tempted to jump on this trend.
We saw many of Cavalli’s signatures: animal prints, tailored suits plus black sequin tailored jackets, fitted and wide-leg pants and multi-coloured print blazers.
The presentation ended with a selection of embroidered gowns; the gold one paired with a white blazer was particularly breathtaking and red carpet worthy.

Key accessories included leather belts, gold cuffs, crocodile clutches, totes and platform wedges which some of the models struggled to walk in.

I agree with you that the gold embroidered dress is a winner. I can definitely see someone donning this on the red carpet.
I love glitter and gold so this collection is heavenly for me. The gold embroidered dress is hot.
the white suit is nice, but the rest is typical cavalli. why does he insist on aving about 4 different animl prints in one outfit. he is by far one of the most tackiest designers on the planet.
