Giorgio Armani’s Spring 2012 collection included exquisite tailoring and luxurious fabrics which we’ve come to expect from the design house.
Mr Armani was inspired by a mother-of-pearl to create his colour palette of blues, greys, silvers and greens, using fabrics that have an iridescent sheen and the lightness of a feather.
Coco Rocha started things off wearing a cowl-neck top paired with a printed jacket and pants with a slit on the side.
Collarless blazers, wrap skirts, satin jackets, day dresses, cocktail dresses, chiffon blouses and calf-length skirts were presented.
The silhouette was loose fitting or body skimming to flatter the feminine form.
For evening wear, the glamour factor was taken up several notches with shimmering, mostly strapless, gowns with crescent-shaped bodices.
Key accessories included clutches, snakeskin shoulder bags, printed obi belts, strappy sandals, totes and oversized hats.

For the finale, three models wearing the same embellished strapless gown slowly walked the runway with their arms around each other. They embodied The Three Graces, goddesses of charm, beauty and creativity.
It was a perfect (and quite emotional) end to a beautiful presentation.
Favourites: Asymmetrical dress with a printed skirt and light blue strapless satin gown

I see a Princess Charlene inspiration. This the first person that came on my mind!
I’m glad he has abandonded his muse, Jane Jetson, and gone back to beautiful clothes in a gorgeous palette. NO ONE is wearing those structured jackets he was holding on to. Its a good step in the right direction.
I am completely in love with that strapless blue dress on the right in your first picture. Its perfect for a red carpet. Someone like Diane Kruger would make it shine!
Absolutely! Total love for that dress!
I’m in love with this collection. What I wouldn’t give to own a piece from it! He is such a master. You can tell the models are enjoying wearing the clothes.
I ADORE this collection. So pretty, so luminous.
SPEECHLESS !
LOVE this collection. ADORE the colors. Cate Blanchett & Thandie Newton would look divine in these clothes!
I’m really not into this shiny material (reluctant to call it satin, although it probably is) at all and I would never put it on a celebrity because it doesn’t photograph well.
