Charlize Theron opted for an effortless casual look at the HTC “Rhyme” Launch Event in New York City this week.
The South African beauty wore a Chloe Resort 2012 dress.
Her short-sleeve emerald green dress with a drawstring tie waist was paired with very comfortable silver studded and braided gladiator flat sandals.
The star swept her golden mane over one shoulder and carried an olive clutch.
The great thing about this look is that even though she didn’t try too hard, she still looked really good.

She looks awesome.
Love everything but the bag. Don’t like olive with that gorgeous green dress.
+1
Love that color, especially on Charlize.
Personally, I would have done a different color bag, otherwise she looks great.
I think this dress has accomplished the impossible: made a beautiful woman look like she has the figure of a pillow, tied in the middle. I do like the color, but nothing else about this look.
even in something so plain she still looks incredibly hot! she needs to share her secret.
The colour is fantastic, but the shape does nothing for her. Honestly, I doubt it does anything for ANY woman.
completely agree.
Original, beautiful and fresh look. She looks divine…
She looks just like Princess Charlene of Monaco. There must be something in the water in South Africa
She looks really good. I love the color of the dress and the shoes work better than I would have thought. Thank god she didnt wear the runway shoes!
She is so beautiful and it’s great to see her attending events. This is truly effortless style and that color is great on her.
It’s not the best dress, but she’s so ridiculously beautiful she can pull it off. And the green is a good color because it brings out her gorgeous green eyes.
I also love the hair. Sometimes her hair looks really weak, but she looks good with the side swept, shiny locks here.
Thsi outfit is almso the definition of hat not to do on a red carpet, a slightly shapeless parachute-looking dress in slightly lurid green, paired with a different shade of green slightly oversized green clutch, and flat sandals that would have made one of the disciples jealous, but I adore it on her. She is jus tso effortless adn beautiful, like a breath of fresh air. This is entirely what she does best.
Oh, no…those awfully long flat feet – so unattractive, and distracting, I can`t even concentrate on her look. What a shame.
Gorgeous, as always. I’m not crazy about the bag, though.
She looks like she’s wearing a bathrobe, ESPECIALLY in that color. That dress really needs to have the collar fastened to look right.
I would have preferred a little less volume. I didn’t care for the olive clutch. Still she looks relaxed and fabulous.
effortless chic!
She looks radiant. That green is so so pretty on her.
i just love her
Love this oversized dress! Will love to add such a piece into my wardrobe anytime. Good for lazy days.
And hey who’s says just because u have an awesome figure you HAVE to flaunt it all the time?! Oversized clothes can be really chic too!
Love it.
I think the metallic sandals lift it. The bag is the only off element but otherwise kind of refreshing and casual at the same.
I could maybe live with the dress, but the shoes and bag are just horrible with it. She still manages to look beautiful.
