did u like martha FC, i thought she best represented zac posen very well and she is stunning on the whole, i hope she gets nominated for a golden globe and a sag award because i want more from her

I don’t think you need to be a VD fan to know that she is smokin’ here! She set the bar early as I was comparing everyone else to her. I was torn between picking her or Emily, but as I expect Emily to always look great, I voted Nina. So many gorgeous gowns!
Nina Dobrev! She totally nailed it and it’s not something you are used to when it comes to her, so it is a very pleasant surprise!
I totally second that! Her attitude matches the gown, & she is absolutely breathtaking.
I also adore Kerry´s look here, i think it ´s one of those memorable looks like Zoe Saldana´s Givenchy moment @ the Oscars a few years ago. Wunderbar!

And i was reading you last post of Emmy Rossum in wich you said you challenge everyone at the Emmys to beat her. So did the girls at the Emmys beat Emmy Rossum, because there where amazing looks on the red carpet. Great blog

after aubrey plaza and kerry washington! my 4th pick is to my surprise kelly osbourne (i think also in zac posen)
Kelly Osbourne did looks so so good, her gown was stunning, and even though sometimes the pouting was overt and painful, she wore the dress well, adn was well styled. Honestly I was shocked. It was, I believe, a J. Mendel Gown.

This might have been the easiest red carpet decision for me to make…Nina Dobrev looks absolutely spectacular. I give major props to Kerry Washington and Gwyneth Paltrow though.
Tough choice they are all very beautiful. I think Nina Dobrev is the obvious choice, but I went with Claire Danes for the originality of the print.
Missed the whole thing, unfortunately, just trying to catch up now. The 1st look that stood out immediately is Nina Dobrev`s – absolutely SUPERB! Gorgeous silhouette, marvelous origami-style detailing (it`s not your ordinary mermaid gown), the folds done so tastefully, plus the red colour, pretty hair, accessories – hits very perfect 10 for me.

Favorite is Colbie. I loved the whole package. Im not at all surprised Nina is winning as her look is flawless but I just LOVE Colbie’s dress colour. I do hope she becomes a firm RCFA regular.

Someone mentioned ‘TVD’ fans being in the building, I don’t think that’s it. Nina just got it OH SO RIGHT. It’s not just the dress but the way she’s carrying herself, the confidence, that make her stand out among a sea of red and that make her the best dressed. Everyone else was almost perfect too but Nina blew them out of the water.

One more thing- was anyone else surprised at how many GOOD black dresses there were?
Evan Rachel Wood, Anna Paquin, Aimee Teegarden, Maria Menounos, Kaley Cuoco, Naya Rivera, Michelle Forbes, Gretchen Mol, Lena Headey, even Carrie Ann Inaba, all had nice black looks. I was surprised. Black dresses are usually boring but these ladies are stepping it up.
Extreamly. Even the ones with really no detail at all were still exciting. I really didnt mind all the black last night because everyone looked so good in their gowns.

Im willing to bet that everyone here would hate Ninas look if they saw a close up of the bottem. The hem is sloppy and as Ross Matthews said “It looks like a sleeping bag”. I want to love the dress but I can stop picturing the awful bottom. Plus, I am so sick of red gowns right now. She was great at first, but when everyone started showing up, she quickly faded into the backround.
Evan was the only one who really stood out last night.
I loved Rachael Taylors look, but I think it would look better if she had darker hair. She looks a bit washed out.
I actually really, really shocked myself and went for Rachael Taylor. I jsut adore the dress, it is so new but classic, and her hair, makeup, vibe, attitude, everything work so perfectly and so in harmony that I couldn’t have picked anyone else. She also reminds me so much of Elisha Cuthbert froma distance Cobie was obviously my second choice, but I had to nit-pick adn the fabric could have used more structure around the bust (pathetic excuse but I can only pick one). Nina Dobrev was my second runner-up, because there was too much red, she wore atwood heels, and the necklace wasn’t my favourite ever. Again it-picking. Thanks for all teh hard work FC, I am SUPER impressed, as always, with your amazing awards show coverage. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did, and I hope you enjoy the rest of fashion week, ad milan and paris!

I’d love to see a poll where FC just put all the celebs in there so people couldn’t say “Why didn’t you put x in the poll?” That’d be chaos.
I gotta be honest, I wasn’t wowed but the Emmy’s RC. There weren’t a lot of big mistakes, but there wasn’t a lot of edgy memorable dresses IMO. I was between Nina Dobrev and Cobie Smulders, but I went with Nina because that dress didn’t look comfortable. Gotta give it to the girl for sacrificing for fashion.
I thought Elizabeth McGovern and Michelle Dockery were flawless!
Nina Dobrev’s outfit does stand out, mostly because it makes her look so statuesque (literally!), but I feel like there’s something off about it. The bottom of the dress seems too heavy in comparison to the top. But the Emmy’s definitely were an overload of red dresses.

I thought Aubrey Plaza was the best dressed of the night, but from this list I go for Claire Danes. I can’t remember the last time I liked her look as much as this one.

The winner for me is Evan Rachel Wood. She looked just AMAZING.
Gwyneth was my real first choice!
Black, blue, red and champagne – interesting that so many wore one of these colors on this red carpet. Had to go with Sofia Vergara from this list although Gretchen Mol was my overall favorite.
I can see why some might consider this a boring red carpet; a lot of classic silhouettes in one of four colors. I found it refreshingly well tailored and generally gauche-free based on the looks featured on this blog.
Nina killed it! She looks absolutely jaw-droppingly beautiful!

Martha Plimpton totally blew me away in her amazing Zac Posen gown! And Aubrey Plaza looked divine as well! But my favourite from the list has to be Cobie Smulders! Perfection from head to toe…I hope this is a sign of things to come for her, her Avengers promo tour could be very exciting indeed!!
P.S Did you like Kristen Wiig’s Zac Posen gown? I cant decide if I like it or hate it haha!

It’s a tough choice between two of my favorite TV actresses Nina Dobrev and Cobie Smulders. I went with Nina, she really wowed me and she’s never done that before. Slam dunk.
Evan Rachel Green! Her dress is to die for and her attitude and pose is perfect for it. I’ve been waiting to see that dress on the red carpet, Elie Saab never dissapoints. The second place goes to Kerry Washington in Zuhair Murad, just stunning.

It is hard choice, there were some real great outfits (and some really bad ones too!). Nina Dobrev looked great, but the dress is really not my style.. Among the ones you picked here, I really liked Anna Paquin and Evan Rachel Wood. My other favorites were Julie Bowen, Aubrey Plaza and Martha Plimpton.
