Jayma Mays attended the 2011 Emmy Awards in LA this evening.
She wore a gorgeous Zuhair Murad Fall 2011 gown.
I had to sit with this one for a moment, because I was unsure if the look was too cutesy for her.
The colour is heavenly on her light pink cap sleeve gown which has beaded transparent bodice and a tiered beaded tulle skirt.
Her gown is accented with a pink satin ribbon around the waist.
My only concern that the skirt appears a tad uneven at the base as it has been clearly shortened to fit the actress.
A pretty blush Swarovski ‘Party Time’ clutch, punchy pink lips and silver Neil Lane jewels completed her look.

Unfortunately for Jayma about fifteen seconds ago I saw Nina Dobrev’s look and this just pales in comparison. It is a gorgeous look, but a bit too saccharine, a bit too fairy for my taste. That being said this is by no means a disappointment, she looks gorgeous, let’s just hope all the rest of teh looks follow the amazing start the Emmy’s has had.
Well the same stylist, Ilaria Urbinati, dressed both Mays and Dobrev for the event, and she rocked it!
That’s so interesting, I never would have guessed, since hte two dresses are so different. I’m nto sure if you are refering to Ilaria or Dobrev, but both rocked it. They are both so well dressed, but I guess Dobrev had a stronger impact.
it’s a little too twee, even for jayma. she looks good but too cutesy.
and the shortening does make the bottom look less graceful…
What lovely color, love the flounces on bottom and the top is divine.
I’m not really a fan of this look. It feels too cutesy, in my opinion.
Its very frou frou but not in a bad way. It suits her personality and she looks comfortable. I love it on her but would have hated it on anyone else
the top is very pretty but the bottom is so ridiculous…
this would of looked amazing is she had opt for a updo and made her dress strapless.
Agree!! With the sleeves and overlay it’s just a bit much.
It reminds me of something her character on Glee would wear so I prefer it when she goes a little bit more edgy on the red carpet.
I think she is often too pinky e sweetie.
The top is pretty, but all together this dress just looks a little childish. Thank god she didn’t keep the bow around the waist. That would have been really too much.
A tad precious for my taste. Agree with luis about wearing the hair up.
She looks better than the model. It seems to really suit her personality or at least her persona on the show. I really don’t think anyone else could have pulled it off, but for me, she does.
I felt like i saw this before even though i think its adorable. And after looking through it reminds me an awful lot of the dress she wore to that InStyle soiree party right?
My first thought was Little Bo Peep….
the bottom tier looks messy. maybe it is the lighting in the model picture but it looks nicer paler than it does on jayma.
She looks too much like a Disney Princess…
Jayma is just the right woman to rock a frothy look like this. Love it.
You cannot wear this if you are a grown woman. I agree with all the too cutesy/ too precious comments.
zuhair murad is the best disigner ……and he is arabic (lebanese)
LOVE!
kinda like a pink wedding cake… i don’t know if it’s the light, or is it different colour, but on the model it looks much better
I have to disagree, I think that the color washed her out completely in other pictures she looks like a ghost. I think she can pull off frothy and sweet, but not in this color, if this was a mint green or pale aqua, it would have rocked.
Not good. Too cute.
