Models walked down a spiral staircase before taking to the runway for the Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti Spring 2012 presentation during New York Fashion Week on Wednesday.
The setting was perfect for this ethereal collection.
Ms Ferretti was inspired by F. Scott Fitzgerald’s ‘The Great Gatsby’, so we saw 20s inspired looks ranging from drop-waist dresses, loose pant suits, beaded calf-length dresses, chiffon wrap dresses with handkerchief hemlines and oversized blazers.
Floral prints dominated the collection with a neutral colour palette of nude, ice blue, grey, orange, ivory and pink.
Philosophy is the kid sister to Alberta Ferretti, but it appears she’s done a lot of growing up since last season.
I hope we get to see a lot of this collection on the red carpet and that it will be embraced by more than just young Hollywood.
Model sported a side-parting with frizzy ends whilst they walked the runway wearing bi-colour Mary Janes.
Front Row: Emma Roberts, Patricia Clarkson and Elizabeth Reaser

Who I See Wearing This Collection: Eve Hewson, Elizabeth Reaser, Asia Argento, Jessica Chastain, Elisabeth Moss, Emilia Clarke, Lea Michelle, Rebecca Hall, Jamie Chung, Abbie Cornish, Elizabeth Olsen and Hailee Steinfeld

The 4th dress is gorgeous, great collection, as usual.
absolutely loved every piece from this collection.
Ethereal collection.
Beautiful collection..very sophisticated
Look 16 was my favorite, but they are all wonderful. I predict we’ll be seeing many of these on the red carpet.
Any idea on the shoes the models wore? I love them!
Stunning collection, but I dont know that I will ever be able to forgive Alberta for letting Chelsy Davy go to the royal wedding looking so bad. That look sort of ruined their rep for me.
