Lucy Liu attended the Katie Gallagher presentation held during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York yesterday.
The actress chose to wear a dress from 3.1. Phillip’s Lim Spring 2011 collection.
Her sleeveless nude dress which features thick black piping and is fitted at the waist was paired with some colourful pieces including red Charlotte Olympia Dolores textured cotton platform pumps and a purple leather bag.
The dress, which has also been worn by Amber Heard, looks great on Lucy and I love her bold accessories.
Once again the red shoe trend continues to become more and more popular on the red carpet and we are loving it.
Long may it continue…until we get bored of it of course.
Lucy completed her look with slick straight hair and barely there makeup.

oh I love Lucy Liu! and she looks perfect in this dress!
i love the dress on lucy and the bag choice, but the red pumps (which are one of my favorite pairs) are just not doing it for me with this look!
I totally agree
Love the dress, the accessories are a bit much…they’re competing for the attention.
Love it.
Adore the dress. I would have preferred one pop of color and a more neutral bag. Red and purple are not doing it for me.
+1
princess beatrice wore this dress too
This is fashion sorbet. loving it.
I love the dress on Lucy, but the shoes are killing me. I know that red shoes continue to be an emerging hot trend, but I would have preferred a neutral or black shoe or a sandal to compliment the dress. The bag is also a little big, but I can look past that.
Agree about the shoes, they are killing me here too. I can only hope that they won`t declare red a new nude. Sometimes it`s really better to stick with something standard and simple as in this case.
Not a fan of this dress on her, however, makes her look kinda stumpy. Not really sure if I can look past the size of the bag (too big, agree) and why purple anyway??? Love her pretty feminine hair as always.
I will get bored of red shoes – there are so many colours and styles to choose from! They should really take a page out of F.C.’s book when it comes to shoe variety.
thanks honey…working a different pair today
Lovge it… I kind of dig the purple and red.. Not so sure at first.. but she looks great!
Love the dress. The accessories are too much. The “pops of colors” don’t really complement her dress.
I love the dress, but also feel the shoes and bag are too much.
The dress has lots of interesting details, it doesn’t need to ‘pop’ additionally – it’s really the bag that’s bugging me the most here……..if the dress had been plain beige linen then the red/purple accessory mix would have worked for me.
Omg! BDOTW!!
Nice to see Lucy not wearing monochrome for a change! I love the dress (loved it on Amber too) and think she looks lovely – I swear she doesn’t age!
I love everything except for the bag, somehow it doesn’t fit with the rest of the look, I’m trying to figure out if what bothers me is the blue red combination or if it’s the blue with the dress.
She glows from the inside-out!she looks SO beautiful
She looks great and I love the bright shoes.
Btw, Princess Beatrice also wore this dress to the Royal Ascot earlier this summer.
This dress is perfect for her~~can’t be better!!
