Emily Blunt hit the red carpet yesterday for the Toronto Film Festival Premiere of her latest movie, “Your Sister’s Sister.”
The British actress wore a Prada colour-block dress.
Her pink and black cady silk cap sleeve dress has a red bow accent at the waist.
I wish her Prada black suede double strap heels were less heavy, because they’re weighing down the look.
Why are stars so afraid of a cute strappy sandal?
A simple updo and a pretty pink clutch completed Emily’s look.

I love this look, along with the heavy heels. They add to the look, in my opinion.
Gotta agree with you, Parvati. For once, the heavy shoes actually WORK perfectly with the outfit!!!! No need for cute and strappy in this case, whatsoever.
I like the shoes with it. Overall I would say it’s a worthy BDOTW contender. She looks chic. The colour combination is lovely.
Hmmm…you know, on second thought, I’m not so sure about the shoes. They are awfully heavy. I guess I’m torn.
I actually love the shoes too. They complement the bottom half of the dress and makes it a more stylish look overall rather than too young and cutesy. Beautiful.
Everything is so pretty but totally agree about the shoes. Such a shame.
OMG YES FC! Why do celebs fear the nice metallic strappy sandal?! It’s actually much more flattering and goes with more outfits than clunky black pumps (urgh wearing black with light dresses makes my heart hurt tbh) and those hideous, tired, ugly chunky ‘nude’ platforms everyone is obsessed with.
Celebs need to step their shoe game up ASAP.
I love everything here, but the shoes are pretty heavy. I love the shoes, just not with this. The dress is super cute and her hair and makeup are flawless.
I could see some satin shoes with this dress, or metallic would be good too. These heavy strapped sandals really do detract from the overall look, IMO.
Im with you FC! \
I do love the shoes for something else. The dress is adorbs and her hair and makeup look pretty and natural. The dress, belt and shoes make her look like she is in six pieces. Almost perfect!
i like it a lot. the colours look good on her and the fit is great.
I might be an exception, but i don’t mind the shoes with it.
I actually like the shoes here! It provides some contrast without looking too heavy like a bootie would.
I agree with you FC…..I wish actresses would wear more of a strappy shoe! The dress looks lovely, though
I kind of like the shoes with this outfit, perhaps because they continue the color block trend of the dress. The clutch bothers me a bit. A third pinkish/orangish hue maybe one too many.
I actually think the shoes are perfect! i think the horizontal strapping is a nice reflection of the colour blocking with the belt in the dress. she looks so chic!
The bow is a bit too cutesy, but I love the shoe choice. I think fashion bloggers are a bit too obsessed with strappy sandals. They’re not always event appropriate and sometimes they dress up an outfit a bit more than needed/wanted.
Totally agree
I think the strappy sandals would have ruined the look! She looks fabulous!
The shoes bother me slightly, but honestly the dress is SO cute that I’ll force myself to look past them.
I like it, she looks very beautiful, as usual. I love her glowing make up and I also like the shoes.
Luuuurrrrrve! BDOTW!
i think she looks very chic, the shoes are great with the whole outfit.
I really like the look as I don’t mind the shoes.
I think she looks gorgeous. And I don’t mind the shoes too much.
She tends to like the cutesy dresses but i don’t think they suit her features. She’s one of those people who look mature even they’re young.
SHoes would have been fine without the strap in the middle. I hate the pink purse more.
I LOVE this look. So cute but chic and elegant. I just love Emily Blunt full stop to be honest.
yeah…ugly shoes
The shoes don’t bother me much. I love the look.
