Kirsten Dunst In Prada & Chanel – “Melancholia” Toronto Film Festival Premiere

Kirsten Dunst attended the 2011 Toronto Film Festival Premiere of her new movie “Melancholia” yesterday.

The blonde actress chose to combine a look with pieces from Prada and Chanel.

She paired a navy and white polka-dot printed V-neck Prada blouse with a long pleated Chanel cream skirt.

Kirsten accessorized her look with strappy, silver embellished heels, a black clutch with gold trim detail and an elegant pair of floral-shaped earrings, which provided a pop of colour with a turquoise jewel center.

I like how Kirsten’s pieces work together to create a sophisticated but classic ensemble.

She complemented her look with a sleek half-up, half-down hairstyle and pretty light pink lip-gloss.

This for me is BDOTW worthy.

The look feels a bit conservative, but Kirsten totally pulls it off and ends up looking gorgeous.

  10. Hannah September 12, 2011 at 23:42 #

Thisis drop-dead gorgeous. Kirsten Dusnt at her absolute best, she is one of the few that can pull this thing off, it is like her niche, liek Haider Ackermann is to Tilda Swinton. Also, I would suppose that her jewelry is Bvlgari since she is (or was?) the face of the brand and the jewelry seems similar to those from her campaign.

I like it, but I feel like it needed someone like Chloe Sevigny or Diane Kruger to ‘youth it up’.

When I stick my fingers next to her face to cover the ‘half-down’ part of her hair and it looks like a bun, the entire look works for me. So naturally I tried my hand at some very bad photoshop that gives the general idea of what she would have looked like had she done that ūüėÄ

I actually think Kirsten could have pulled this off completely but the hair-style she has takes it from classy-vintage to aging.

i liked it so much, this longer hair is BDOTW right now.

  13. dunzoo September 12, 2011 at 23:30 #

love it ! that is so her, different and feminine

  14. chocolatepluscheese September 12, 2011 at 21:35 #

It’s not flashy, but it’s very sophisticated and polished. And the earrings are a great touch. I like it! BDOTW for me.

  15. marina September 12, 2011 at 21:23 #

Classical look or not, she owns it.
I saw some outside pictures of her in the actual red carpet, and she was glowing. The navy and white outfit looked great and combines nicely with her coloring.
I agree. BDOTW, just because it makes her look very fresh and beautiful than usual.

  16. fromchi-town September 12, 2011 at 21:04 #

She looks very pretty and she is glowing. But is it premiere worthy ?

    • Alina September 13, 2011 at 15:12 #

      I agree 100%.

  17. Giuseppi Giraffe September 12, 2011 at 21:03 #

  18. Erini September 12, 2011 at 20:36 #

    love this look

  19. Tahj September 12, 2011 at 20:33 #

The blouse is very classic and elegant but the skirt just looks too sloppy and boho. They just don’t look right together. Maybe if she tried to crisp white pants.

  20. Carolina September 12, 2011 at 20:16 #

I agree that she looks beautiful. However – hem up the dress a bit and it’s an outfit you could find in many office buildings, albeit this is designer. Not impressed by the originality of this look whatsoever.

  21. justme September 12, 2011 at 20:14 #

Imo, she’s never looked this good. I really like it.

  22. Nicola September 12, 2011 at 20:04 #

She looks so elegant and sophisticated. Defo BDOTW worthy.

  23. Lei September 12, 2011 at 19:59 #

She looks gorgeous! Best I have seen her look in a quite a while!

  24. mol September 12, 2011 at 19:57 #

So fresh and pretty – I agree, BDOTW worthy.

  25. Gaber September 12, 2011 at 19:56 #

    Yeah, signing for the BDOTW-nod.
    Absolutely fantastic!

  26. Nicole September 12, 2011 at 19:50 #

I am not usually a fan of Kristin’s but I am just loving this look! It’s classic without looking old fashioned. Love, love, love

  27. Dani September 12, 2011 at 19:46 #

I love it when celebs do something other than the classic dress/ pant suit thing on the red carpet…. she looks great!

    • maria September 12, 2011 at 20:21 #

totally agree. So fresh and different. Great look.

I love her hair style too.

    • TeaAtTwo September 12, 2011 at 23:51 #

I like this look to, covered up yet still alluring.

  28. Nat39 September 12, 2011 at 19:43 #

Plain, frumpy, from the sweet boring half `do down to the table cloth wrapped around her. Not a fan.

    • Dee September 12, 2011 at 22:41 #

      Absolutely agree.

  29. Emi September 12, 2011 at 19:43 #

Sophisticated but more for somebody like Helen Mirren.

    • Louisa September 12, 2011 at 20:31 #

I agree…… It’s like for a old person…. it’s beautiful but I think she should have worn something more youthful

  30. Amy Grindhouse September 12, 2011 at 19:31 #

This is more of a dinner/ evening outfit than something for a premiere, no? Still cute though.

  31. Stylista September 12, 2011 at 19:28 #

    Def BDOTW worthy! Love it!

  32. Kate September 12, 2011 at 19:22 #

Agreed – love this… only gripe = black clutch (but black and navy is a particular bugbear of mine…).

  33. QTB September 12, 2011 at 19:15 #

love! this to me is red carpet style that istranslatable to real street style… dont see that many people on the streets wearing a runway look head to toe

  34. Elena September 12, 2011 at 19:06 #

Best she’s looked in a very long time…
