Beth Ditto performed at the M.A.C. store for Fashion’s Night Out in New York City last night in a brilliant colourful ensemble.
The singer chose a sheer rainbow-hued Christopher Kane Resort 2012 lace dress with black cuffs and a black collar.
Beth complemented the black elements of her dress with her Cleopatra-style jet black hair.
She accessorized with bright blue peep-toe slingback heels and added bold pink lips.

I like the dress more on Beth than on the model, probably because it’s such a colorful look that it suits a “happier” mood better;
But I’m curious, does Christopher Kane runs bigger sizes or it was custom made for Beth?
Good question!
I think it’s custom made for her. I don’t think C. Kane or any other designers run her size, which I don’t even know what it is.
WTF?!!
Such judgement..
Indeed.
What a colourful way to show off your figure. The sight of those fat thighs through the sheer skirt is less than exciting. wtf, really??
my eyes…
great choice for her. Apart of the health debate i must say that she wears her size well and she is such an incredible singer.
This dress reminds me of the rainbow-coloured Alexander McQueen dress she had worn back in 2008.
Surprisingly, I actually like the dress on Ditto, the only thing I would change is her shoe choice.
Surprised that someone beat Katy Perry to this one.
Wow those colors are gorge, love the heels she picked.
i love her in body con christopher kane. she has the charisma to pull it off. and he has the colorfulness to suit her indisputable style. that dress is entirely more intoxicating on a women with curves than on a model without.
This dress is just WRONG. I don’t like it on the runway model, and I really don’t like it on her. It’s absolutely HIDEOUS. This should go into the “what not to wear” bin, IMO.
I agree, i just don’t like the dress
GORGEOUS.
You go Beth, I love you….totally suits her personality.
I love when big girls are not afraid to wear colours but this is too much for me.
This is completely insane.
And I love it unconditionally.
The dress is an eyesore >.<"
We all know that Beth Ditto has personality, a beautiful voice, etc, but honestly… how can you look good with such a size? I don’t want to be mean, absolutely, but I’m honest.
Fat people cant be pretty or attractive, I forgot biology has programmed us to lust after unattainable waif-like silhouettes. You ask how can someone look good with such a size, Beth does, the end.
Oh, really? Look at her ‘glowing’ skin, ‘glowing’ hair and ‘white’ teeth. Being SO BIG is extremely unhealthy; and a person can’t look so just because of a bad DNI.
It is a very, very bad example for young girls.
I expected a reaction like yours. First of all, the world is not divided in 2 categories, waifs and extremely overweight. I would like to know, if there was a poll, “Would you like to weight like Kate Bosworth or like Beth Ditto?” the percentage of us who would vote for Beth. I also remind you that the governments of many countries are trying to fight obesity. Our (in this blog) beloved Michelle Obama is doing her best to convince people to eat healthy to avoid obesity. Also, if we’re talking about being politically correct, calling everyone who’s thin “waif” is not polite, and sorry, Beth is a great singer but not a beautiful girl. Ask men. Period.
I think this dress looks terrible on both of them. It’s just hideous and looks like the sort that will end on discount and someone will buy because it’s Christopher Kane.
She just looks like a drag queen. Again.
i love beth! she’s great!
and she looks beautiful the way she is! this is a great performance look!
