Jessica Chastain was back on US shores last night attending the New York Premiere of yet another one of her movies, “Take Shelter.”
The actress chose a pretty silver lace Carolina Herrera dress which features a strapless black slip underneath.
Jessica accessorized with nude peep-toe Ferragamo shoes, which aren’t working for me with this dress. I think a black pair would have looked a lot more classic.
She completed her look with an old-fashioned up-do which a lot of you commented is very aging.
I do love her thick cat eyeliner and soft pink lipstick though.

I find this look quite uninteresting but the main focus is that hairstyle. It makes her look much older than she is.
Perhaps, she took the statement that nude is the new black way too seriously. Maybe it`s time to officially declare that black is the new nude

Seriously, the nude shoes look completely out of place here. Very lovely otherwise, don`t mind the updo at all.
the dress is exquisite, but i am not sure how she did not pair it with either black or silver shoes….

She looks really gorgeous, but the whole look ages her in my opinion.
I love her. Ever since I saw The Help, she can do no wrong.
I do think this look is quite interesting. The lace overlay is blue, which is a bit refreshing because it always seems to be white/black/blue.
It would be nice to have been able to see her shoes to complete the look, but I’m not picky
I feel this look ages her too. She could have made this dress work as a youthful look if she had jazzed up her hair and accessories.
