Emma Watson arrived on the red carpet opting for a very different look at the 2011 GQ Men Of The Year Awards in London tonight.
The young actress channeled punk-chic wearing a McQ tartan wool puffball mini dress from the Fall 2011 collection.
This is a striking choice for Emma.
I’m glad she kept the look pretty by opting for Christian Louboutin Pigalle Spikes studded leather pumps instead of biker boots.
Her look was toughened up enough with the cropped biker jacket.

I’m sorry but isn’t she supposed to be a fashion icon. I haven’t been impressed by her since last year. She seems to be like all the others, wearing mostly black and always wearing pumps.
I don’t understand where the mostly black comes from. I’ve just looked over all of her past appearances on the red carpet and t.v. shows and out of 10 she only seems to have work a lot of black in 2 appearances… this and at the Deathly Hallows Part 2 photocall :/
I think she looks great! Its definitely a different look and I know a lot of people might think it’s more suited to a teenager but I think Emma looks young enough to pull it off
The dress is too full for my liking, would have looked a lot better if it was an a-line dress rather than having a full skirt. Its too much imo, love the leather jacket & black pumps though.

I sincerely, sincerely dislike this outfit. It reminds me of the late nineties/ early noughties when it was cool for children and teens to wear thsi kind of desperate punk thing. It jsu tlooks so cheap, try-hard and dated.
If the leather jacket had been shorter and more tapered in I would have loved it – but she looks a little boxy otherwise. Still, I think the overall vibe really suits her right now, specially with that short crop – yeh, cute!

I agree completely, she looks like a teenager!
On another note, I appreciate the idea behind cutting her hair short, but it is not a look for every woman, and Emma does not carry it off particularly well. While she has looked very beautiful at times since chopping off her hair, I really think she should let it grow out again.

She’s amazingly beautiful, she’s perfect. to all you people who think she looks like an emo — i hope you lot know she a fashion icon and her style and clothes are influenced by things she loves such as old movies and different genres. and what’s so wrong with looking like a teenager when your 21 ? doesn’t everyone want to look younger anyway ?! Emma is an incredibly intelligent, sexy person, she has a completely crazy peronality and we should be thanking god that she’s not one of those pretty girls withno brains and no personality and lots of money. i think daniel and rupert would agree.

Yeah, that’s what I was thinking. She looked miserable at the BAFTAs! I don’t like the outfit either though- dated and badly put together.
I think she has that look, the kind of look that can pull off any outfit. She could wear a care bear Onesie and make it look fashionable.
