Vivian Hsu graces the 2011 Venice Film Festival to promote her new movie, “Warriors Of The Rainbow: Seediq Bale.”
The actress attended the photocall looking slightly overdressed wearing a Christian Dior Spring 2008 gown.
Surely this pale pink gown embellished gown would’ve been better suited for a premiere.
I guess her motto was “go big or go home.”
The pink gown is heavenly against her skin-tone. She’s really working this gown as it looks stunning on her.
She dazzled with Piaget jewels.
For the premiere Vivian settled for a Lanvin Resort 2011 snake-print gown.
I say settled because it’s inferior to her earlier photocall look.
She really should’ve swapped her choices around for a better impact. This beachy dress doesn’t cut it for a premiere.
I also really dislike her shoe choice. Her beige Christian Louboutin pumps do not work at all.

Agreed!
She’s got the Olivia Wilde symptom, she should have totally swapped the outfits!
Lol at Olivia Wilde symptom
Exactly what I was going to say! I wonder if maybe these looks are put together by stylists and packed for the ladies, who then are on their own to attempt to figure out which one goes for photo call and which for premiere. That’s the only way either of these situations make sense – with the stylists cringing back home.
Wow at the photocall look. She should have worn that to the premiere. It’s fantastic. I’m in love.
She looks exquisite in that Dior gown.
I agree that she should have said it for the premiere.

i totally agree, but she is still quite stunning and BDOTW worthy
Yeah, even if it’s not too event appropriate, she still deserves a nom imo.
I agree but besides that I’m so glad to see that most celebrities are still wearing the stunning past collections from Dior because they are exquisite whereas I thought the Katy perry vma look was just embarrassing to see it from Dior couture.
Euww, those shoes look awful, definitely worthy of a shoe swap post i think!!

Really odd decision to wear the Dior to the photo call… But it’s a brilliant look!
Stunning is the word here;-)
The photocall look is perfect for a premiere. The Lanvin dress might have been appropriate for the premiere with the right accessories and of course, with the right shoes! These nude pumps do nothing for her look. Plus, I don’t really like the way she exposes her leg. Maybe it’s the wind, but the slit is too revealing in my opinion.
first look is awe inspiring.
The photocall outfit is amazing, so I don’t understand the choice for the red carpet, totally nonsense. I agree about the shoes.
The photocall outfit is amazing. The red carpet outfit is nonsense.
Just here to express my undying love for the Dior.
Did J.K. Rowling wear the Lanvin dress?
I think so
The first look is perfect but to dressy for a photocall. For the second look, well I hate snake skin so I don’t like it but also it looks cheap,it suprised me that it is Lanvin.
dior look stunning!
The way that the Dior jacket ties and hangs is divine!
I love both looks but agree she should have swapped the outfit.
I agree about the lanvin, for starters it doesn’t work that well on her, it feels very unnatural, and in comparison to the photocall look I was majorly disappointed. Given the gown she wore to tehphotocall, I expected to be left speechless by an even bigger, better gown with even bigger, better accessories, but clearly that was not the case.
Love the 40s vibe from that Dior .. sigh.
The Lanvin dress is the same dress that Jennifer Lopez wore in her video “I’m into you” ?
Sorry to sound like an echo, but yes, the first look is wonderful and should totally have been her outfit for the premiere!
She look stunning in Dior.. no question at all.. maybe most people doesn’t really know her, but I watched all her movie back them when she was still 14, God she doesn’t age at all.. I’m so jealous.. lmao
