Salma Hayek In Gucci – 2011 Gucci Award For Women In Cinema

Salma Hayek was the belle of the ball at the 2011 Gucci Award For Women In Cinema event on Friday night in Venice.

The Mexican beauty opted for a Gucci Première gown.

We only see looks from the Gucci Première collection during European Film Festival, but the collection very much epitomizes the glamorous occasion.

A lot of work went into her smoky grey organza single strap gown.

It has a beautiful crystallized detailed on the bodice and a full skirt embellished with grey feathers and crystals.

It’s a big gown, but the petite diva manages to pull it off.

A matching Gucci satin clutch, smoky eyes and an uber chic updo completed her look.

Wow, I know it is early, but I’m thinking she should definitely have a place in the BDOTW poll. Glamorous perfection

She looks flawless. I adore that dress.
Don’t you just love all the details on it?

Great dress! Btw, FC, been meaning to ask, why is Gucci Premiere only to be seen at European festivals? Why not Oscars, Met Gala and such as well? Great work as always! xo

Stunning!!I wish we saw more gucci premiere on the red carpet because they are amazing but I guess they really are special for special occasions.

The top part is a bit off and the shoulder a bit too much like tinsel, but overall she looks fabulous. Best I’ve seen her in a long time. She tends to choose great dresses, but dresses that don’t look good on her. This is a great dress that looks good on her.

Stunning! Whenever she wears Gucci she’s flawless.

  9. Victoria September 5, 2011 at 19:49 #

    WOW! This look is perfection.

She hasn’t looked this good in a while in my opinion! Definitely a BDOTW!

she looks great i just wish her hair was more “softer” looking rather than so hard and stiff.

  13. Emi September 5, 2011 at 20:14 #

Beautiful dress, I love her make up. She totally pulled it off.

  14. olivia September 5, 2011 at 20:49 #

God, she’s gorgeous. BDOTW nominee for sure, but I already doubt anything will be able to match this for sheer impact.

i hate the design of this, plus the hem on the bodice is shocking for a high end piece, never mind ‘couture’.

    • PamG September 6, 2011 at 02:21 #

I agree with you about the hem on the bodice – it detracts from her girls on display. I don’t like some of the design components of the dress either. This said, I think she is a petite actress who manages to pull off looks that I wouldn’t expect, and this unexpectedly works from some angles.

Hmmm, I’m not feeling all the love you guys are. I don’t see this as one of her most flattering looks. To me, it doesn’t seem like the shape and fit are right for Salma. And I really dislike the hair. I like seeing her in more color, in a fit with more va-va-voom. Remember when she was one of the first to wear this beautiful Gucci collection with the flowered stole/shrug? That’s the Salma I love. To me, almost anybody could be in this dress and hairdo and look about the same, when really, Salma Hayek is something special.

Gorgeous sans hair I understand why she did that style to give her height but i would have prefered a high bun.

  19. Tahj September 6, 2011 at 00:55 #

I usually hate feathers, but I’ll make an exception when it’s done this tastefully and elegantly. Salma Hayek has always been one of my favorite style queens. It’s hard to dress someone as short and curvy as her, but she usually dresses perfectly for her body while still managing to look classy and sophisticated.
