Robin Wright attended the 2011 Gucci Award for Women in Cinema event at Hotel Cipriani this past Friday.
The actress, who is a Juror at the event, chose a stunning Gucci Resort 2012 gold sequin-embroidered georgette gown.
She sparkled on the red carpet, adding Gucci accessories including gold sequin evening sandals, a black suede clutch with gold leather trim, an 18 karat yellow gold horsebit bracelet with brown diamonds and a matching yellow gold ring.
Robin finished her look by wearing her cropped blonde hair swept across her forehead and adding a touch of pink lipgloss.
She looks beautiful in this dress, which reminds me of liquid gold.
I like that she opted not to wear the oversized floral brooch like the model. It’s gorgeous enough as it is.

Maybe it’s the light, but this dress seems to wash her out… I don’t like her haircut…
I have to agree – it’s a beautiful dress but she does seem washed out I agree on the hair too…
She has a beautiful body and this dress does nothing to highlight it.
The addition of a thin black belt would of lifted this to BDOTW worthiness. As it is, it’s just a bit meh…

I would have preferred more radiant lippy as I agree with Emi that this washes her out and I blame the understated pallet of her make-up. I am not a fan of the haircut either, it does nothing to emphasise her beautiful features. The dress however is gorgeous.

I think she looks great – I like the relaxed fit of the dress and am glad there’s no belt to distract from how it flows.
Not liking this at all. Her haircut really ages her and emphasizes her square jaw. the dress needs a detail to give it more interest–I think the should have kept the flower. the clutch is too heavy for the look, and her makeup is much too muted.

I’ve always loved her simple style, but the hair to me is so unflattering that it throws off the whole look. Which is a shame because the liquid gold feel has the potential to be really stunning on a statuesque blonde like herself.
She looks like she’s channeling Sharon Stone a bit in this photo with the short hair and facial expression! The dress itself is nice, but it maybe wasn’t the best choice for her. The handbag reminds me of a cosmetics case.
