Abbie Cornish attended the 2011 Gucci Award For Women In Cinema event at Hotel Cipriani on Friday.
The Aussie actress chose this custom-made Gucci Resort 2012 colour-block gown.
Her black and white matte satin gown features a cutaway shoulder, a patent leather embellished neckline and a thin bronze ribbon belt.
Abbie accessorized with diamond and emerald earrings, a Roger Vivier black and gold clutch and Roger Vivier black peep-toes.
She finished her look by wearing her hair slicked back into a high ponytail and donning pink lipstick.
I love the dress, but I’m not sold on the addition of her emerald green earrings.

I agree with you, FC, I like the dress but not the earrings.
I think gold earrings would have worked better.
I think the dress is ok, but either way she’s not breathing much life into it and I find the whole effect is dull- which is not what anyone should ever say when you’re wearing Gucci!
For once, she is totally selling me. The dress is gorgeous, she looks kind of sophisticated which is a stretch for her, and except for the fact that her gown is too long, she looks fabulous. I like the emeralds
I agree about the earrings, but otherwise, I love this.
I’ve never seen her more radiant.
This is my favorite dress that I’ve seen her in. But maybe it’s because I have a thing for black and white combos.
Enough with the emerald earrings people. Sure they looked good with Angelina Jolie and her plain black dress at the Oscars that year. But they don’t go with everything.
BDOTW!
