Best Dressed Of The Week
That was so wierd, I was the first person to vote so everything was at 0%. So many that I wanted to pick, but I went for Diane in the end. She just looks so effortless!
Good job keeping up with all of VFF x
will do x
Very Tough Choice!
I agree. Toughest week for a while. I loved the gowns but went for SJP in that gorgeous Prabal Gurung. SJP was on such a great run this week.
the readers on here have a serious bias when it comes to emma stone and fan bing bing at that matter….keira knightley is clearly the best dressed though no competition
I’m sorry, but what you’re saying here is complete nonsense. Emma looks outstanding and if people want to vote for her, they are allowed to do so. Not everyone has to vote for Kiera just because you think she is best dressed..
There are so many amazing options, but I had to go with Diane. Even though I didnt like that she modified the gown, I have to give her credit. What a great week.
Thanks so much FC for all the amazing coverage!
You are welcome x
This was so difficult, for me it was between Natasha and Vittoria, and I ultimately chose Vittoria, but purely because the waistband doesn’t meet the belt on Natasha’s Gucci. I just have to say, the red carpet drought is well adn truly over.
Thanks FC and Zarina for all your hard work this week, I really look forward to next week’s coverage, good luck picking your winners this week and I hope you have lovely weekends
Thanks Hannah. Have a great weekend
Once again my BDOTW goes to Diane Kruger – she looks so beautiful and effortless, its hard to ignore it!
I also love Keira, Natasha Poly, Emma, SJP & Vittoria….so many beautiful outfits to chose from!
Simply impossible to choose just one …. this may take a while! Thanks for all the wonderful coverage FC!
I voted Keira Knightley in Valentino Couture, but it could have easily been Emma Stone, Vittoria Puccini, Diane Kruger or even others that didn’t make the selection… So hard choosing this week!
Great site, thanks for the work put into it. I can’t believe I only discovered it a couple of months ago.
Thank you…I hope you’ll continue to enjoy the site
This is a tough one actually.
smashing week. voted for Vittoria
This is one of the hardest weeks ever! So many great looks! But at the end, there’s only one vote. I voted for Vittoria in Versace. Sexy and classy!
Finally a great week with many looks to choose from. I was torn between Diane and Andrea, but Keira in Mary Katrantzou also looked fabulous. In the end I voted for Diane – it’s that Elie Saab magic.
Oooh.. This week is a hard one.. Torn between Vittoria and SJP in Prabal and I ended up voting for the latter.. I`m still quite thirsty for colours and prints after the plethora of blacks on the red carpet and SJP totally delivered and cleansed my pallette.. She rocked that vibrant and graphic print very well.
FC, you can be a very cruel woman sometimes – I can’t remember the last time I had such a hard time choosing a winner. Such great looks this week.
Finally went with Julianna Margulies.
As always, it’s a pleasure to follow your site.
I’m glad we had so much to choose from after a lackluster previous 2 weeks
Gonna have to think about this one… Well done narrowing down the looks, good lineup!
Thank u. It Wasn’t easy
Hardest ever in fact
Keira in Katrantzou and SJP in Prabal Gurung both looked so very good to me, but I have decided to go to the long gowns this week and now have to chose between Vittoria in Versace and Keira in Valentino couture, the first full of fresh youthful animation and lightness, the latter with an organic yet ethereal appeal that’s so hard to resist…..I’ll have to sleep on it and decide tomorrow
Such a hard week as it was filled with AMAZING dresses worn by some of my favourite red carpet ladies. I loved that Valentino dress (Kiera) ever since I saw it on the red carpet although I had envisioned Clemence Poesy wearing it. Loved the bright fushia on Ms. Poly and well Emma Stone looked great but it is overshadowed by the amazing glamour of the other dresses. I voted for Kiera – cause I wanted the dress for myself!
What an amazing week, the choice was really difficult. I ended up going with Keira Knightley’s Mary Katranzou dress as the prints were so amazing and it was a dress not many can wear and it was a moment where 1 + 1 = 3 as she brought that extra from herself. Thanks for a great week of fashion commentary FC!
For a late summer week, there was a lot of great style. The hardest week to pick a winner in a while.
I love filling out this poll ESPECIALLY when it is difficult!
This was a fabulous week and it’s so tough to choose just one. It was between sjp in prabal gurung, diane and beyonce. It’s a 3-way tie. I can’t decide. FC, I will be really interested to see who your best dressed would be.
hey FC im not sure if you remember but Diane Kruger has worn a couple of dresses for Elie Saab in tthe past, these dresses are incredible as well
and check this one out too
Elie Saab and Diane Kruger are a match made in heaven!!
btw im loving your coverage .. im checking your website every hour lol
thankyou soo much!
Yes you are right
I think it’s funny that so many have voted for Beyonce including ME but no one has commented on it. Clearly she’s not acutally best dressed this week with the Venice Film Festival gowns…but she deserves it this time! She’s pregnant! Beyonce is pregnant in Lanvin!!! She’s never one this poll so we should give her our votes lol
I voted for her for sentimental reasons but there were better dressed people this week. Not Diane and not Keira though lol.
its been awhile i havent commented on your blog and i feel so bad:(…this week is a VERY hard one to pick. when i get stuck i always put myself in a situation where if i ever had the chance to wear any of these dresses i would always have a final dress to pick BUT this week i love every single dress..
umm my vote goes to……
FC i wish you had one more option that states “all of the above” life would’ve been much easier hahaa
Lol…it is needed this week
oh i forgot the most important thing to say…THANK YOU for your hard work
My pleasure sweetheart
A tough week! I love several looks so eventually I had to go with this question, “Which dress would I wear?” Roland Mouret was the obvious answer. My vote went to Emma. The Mary Katrantzou dress was very exciting, but it’s largely b/c of the unique print, not Keira. I never quite get her appeal.
Such a packed week but I have to go for Andrea because she made me love a princess gown.
Beyonce Knowles in Lanvin. Not because she’s pregnant , because this is the best she has ever looked. Stunning!
I actually cannot decide – I love all the colour and the beautiful shapes and fabrics. My vote goes to this beautiful composite of beautiful colourful gowns!
I would have liked to see Evan Rachel Wood’s Dolce and Gabbana suit in this mix. I loved it, especially with those Ferragamo shoes.
A week ago I wouldn’t believe it myself that I wouldn’t choose a gown but SJP in Prabal Gurung stands out for me this time. I like the design of the dress, its colours, the shoes, the hair. Everything! Plus,SJP gave us a number of appearances this week in events and every day looks and I liked every single one. This was her week for me. I voted for her whole performance.
This has been a great week! I can’t wait for the next one. Thanks, Catherine!
Why is Zhang Ziyi not featured here?! I was saving my vote for her! She certainly deserved to be on this Bdotw list after taking our breath away. I would readily knock off SJP’s Chanel number instead.
I think its because there were 11 if not more better looks on the red carpet than hers this week
As Elie Saab number one fan, I obviously went for Diane as she looks breath-taking, mostly thanks to him, a fashion genius who makes women effortlessly look amazing. You can NOT make a fashion faux pas when you wear an Elie Saab design
Give it up for the Lebanese arab sense of style & fashion
I voted Sarah Jessica Parker in Chanel. Thank you FC for including her in the poll. With so many great looks I was afraid she wouln’t appear in it.
Have a nice weekend!
Thanks. You too x
that certainly was one good week of celebrity fashion!
Beyonce… she was glowing at the VMAs.
Well…. I’m sure the ball gowns will win but I have to appreciate your putting in Julianna.. she did look awesome and im voting for her..
SJP in chanel. the whole look is perfection.
Hardest BDOTW poll EVER. It came down to Diane and Keira for me and Keira in Mary Katrantzou wins. I just love that print.
There were so many great looks to choose from this week that I just couldn’t decide. My favorite didn”t make the list but really with so many beautiful gowns in the running I couldn’t be upset about it.
Keira Knightley in either looks, Diane’s dress was a tad boring and her bodice was oddly fitted. Also, the original gown on the runway looked better.
I thought I was the only one thrown off Diane`s look by the way the bodice fits her. Diane simply doesn`t have the right (long and thin enough) upper body for this bodice – too wide and boxy, and with the rather broad shoulders and not so long and thin neck she just cannot afford to wear thin straps. Very unpleasing to MY eye. Her hair bothers me quite a bit too – a sort of “attached to the hair cap ” looking. As pretty as this dress is, it`s just not working on her body type.
One of the thoughest choices so far… i wanted to go with SJP in Prabal Gurung but i changed my mind in the last minute and gave it to Natasha as she catches my eye out of all the looks. Weeks like this make me very happy !!! Have a great week end FC!!
you too Anne
stunning week, very hard to choose but I have given my vote to Vittoria! Thanks for all the hard work FC, once again you are doing an amazing job,x
my pleasure x
Amazing work FC! I’m in love with every single look! My vote goes to Diane! Elie Saab can do no wrong!
thank you x
As tough as this week is, I have no doubt, Vittoria is the clear winner for me this week – gorgeous look, so delicate and feminine, perfectly completed with the marcel waves – TIMELESS!!!
I think it`s actually my 2nd all-time favourite after Jessica Biel in Versace at Oscar after-party (same collection, I believe, correct me if I`m wrong). Both looks make me hear heavenly music.
Marisa tomei was my personal favourite but I think Beyonce should get credit for for wearing something elegant that was neither skin-tight mermaid or flashing leg, also orange is hard to pull off.
I went for Beyonce because she was glowing and chose a great color for her and because I am so sick of Diane Kruger and she always wins these polls because well she’s a former model anyway who looks good in anything. lol. She spreads herself too thin though. Enough red carpets sweetie. You were actually good in Inglourious Basterds!
You know how much i love Beyoncé and see her glowing and smiling and look this fabulous my vote of course is going for her and this beautiful news ..
BUT if i wasn’t such a Beyonce lover i think my vote would’ve been for SJP in Prabal Gurung cauz i love her too and this look is fresh cute and she reminds me of Carrie <3
Can't wait to see who 's ur best dressed FC !!!
Ooh, such a very difficult week indeed! What great fashion on the red carpet! Loved Vittoria in her white Versace, and SJP looked amazing in everything she wore. In a week of glamourous long bright and shiny gowns, I’m voting for an underdog short dress look: Keira in Mary Katranzou. Hope we can see more of this extremely talented designer on the red carpet soon!
I went crazy when you picked Rihanna’s Antonio Berardi ensemble as your BDOTW as it was my choice too, FC! I always love it when you agree I instantly fell in love with Vittoria and no one else compares actually! Fingers crossed that you agree i think she looks heveanly. pure and utter elegance from every pore.
