Best Dressed Award
Beyonce Knowles used the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards to announce that she is pregnant.
I couldn’t be happier for her. Its news I’ve been waiting to hear for a very long time.
The mother-to-be was beaming with joy and pride wearing a Lanvin Fall 2011 gown.
I love the bright orange colour of her one-shoulder silk crepe cut-away gown. It was the only look I liked at this lackluster event.
Her big announcement was matched by some amazing big bold Lorraine Schwartz jewels which included an emerald ring which provided a nice contrasting to her bold hue of her gown and platinum and white diamond tassel earrings.
A side sweeping ponytail and Rene Caovilla ivory platform heels with Swarovski crystal and pearl details completed her look.
Maternity watch will be very interesting.
I’m glad she let us know she is pregnant by making it obvious rather than hide her bump in oversized dresses like Bryce Dallas Howard and Aishwarya Rai did.

I completely agree, best dressed, easily. The runway dress was divine, and she only improved it. Even though I feel that simpler/les jewels would nto have goen amiss, this is beyonce, so it was pointless wishing, but I do love the interesting choice of emerald with orange. Her hair is also incredible, and her makeup is perfect too, undoubtedly enhanced by her beautiful, natural luminescent glow, which has only increased with her pregnancy. I am so happy for her and Jay-Z, maternity is sure to be amazing, thank god, I am aving Alba withdrawal symptoms already.
Also, FC, thanks for all your coverage tonight, especially since it was a pretty rubbish event, and it is now almost 4 am, and still, almost, the weekend, so I really appreciate it

Well, at least it isn’t her normal uniform of either a too tight mermaid gown or a too short mini-dress.
i agree. she looked great and simple without much bling on the dress. I do not like her jewelry though, i wish she would have gone for more summery pieces instead of these big clunkers.
