Kerry Washington and Joanna Coles were the guest judges on Episode 4 of Project Runway.
Kerry wore a pink Zuhair Murad Fall 2011 dress with a bow neck-tie and black lace detailing with Christian Louboutin peep-toes.
Marie Claire’s Joanna Coles was typically sophisticated wearing a sleeveless red sheath dress with matching sandals.
Nina continues to be the one-to-watch when it comes to her fashion choices on the show, because she wore a Aquilano.Rimondi Fall 2011 embellished gold top with black tapered pants.
Tommaso Aquilano and Roberto Rimondi’s aren’t worn enough on the red carpet. The Italian designers are very talented so I wish they would get more celebrity recognition for their work.
Heidi Klum was surprisingly mute on this occasion as she opted for a black embellished sweater, leather skirt and Jimmy Choo ankle boots.

That top makes Nina’s (and the models’) boobs look saggy…I’m loving Kerry Washington’s dress.
+1
Kerry Washington steals this picture from every other person, she looks smoldering hot!
Joanna Coles looks too skinny and not very womanly sitting next to Kerry. Heidi is great and Nina is fierce
True! Kerry totally steals picture because she looks most comfortable in what she is wearing and isherwood is wearing the dress, not the dress wearing her. Joanna Coles looks fit and slender but I don’t like the overall vibe
Joanna is giving me a Tilda Swinton vibe here with the shift dress and hairstyle. I think all four women look great. Nina is one of the most stylish women on TV. I can’t wait to see what the contestants have designed for her this week!
That was exactly my thought, when I saw Joanna, that she looked like Tilda Swinton!
they all look great but why did kerry pick those shoes for that dress? really out of all the nice shoes she could have she wore those.
I know that is my only fault with her. She could have worn the shoes the model has on or something with more interest.
isnt kerry wearing zuhair murad?
thanks for the id
Thanks so much for posting this! I adore the fashion choices made by th ejudges on project runway, namely Nina’s choices, her lanvin dress two episodes, i think, before this was incredible on her, so I really appreciate you posting about their choices!
Kerry looks amaze-balls. Heidi looks terrific, but that’s easy. Any time she’s showing off those gorgeous gams, she looks like a winner. Love. Her.

hmmm, don’t you find the Zuhair Murad pretty similar to one of the Kardashian’s designs for Sears? I mean the other way around….theirs very similar to his.
Kourtney wore this yesterday.

I also noticed the similarities there…that’s how the fashion world works.
Whoa! total copy cat and the Kardashian version is really cheap looking too.
Ii think Nina Garcia is usually a big disappointment fashion-wise on the show. This year she has begun to wear some interesting clothes–but she always hides inside all that hair, and wears black almost all the time. I expect more from a big name fashion editor especially one that talks alot about taste.
Kerry looks gorgeous!
Saw this episode last night; Kerry looked fab, and I liked the outfit that was chosen as the winning design to be worn by Nina.
I love Kerry’s outfit.
My favorite is Kerry! She looks stunning. And I agree- Aquilano Rimondi and Zuhair Murad should be worn more often on the red carpet.
Can anyone ID the pink and black top with the jewels nina wore when she met the designers in the workroom… I’m in love with it.
