Most Improved Award
Jane Lynch arrived on the red carpet wearing a very modern look at the 2011 VH1 Do Something Awards which took place at the Hollywood Palladium in California yesterday.
The ‘Glee’ actress is known for wearing quite unflattering promo-esqe ballgowns, but on this occasion she opted for an Alexander McQueen silk bustier gown.
Her black and white silk chiffon pony print gown was teamed with understated jewels to ensure her gown was the main focus.
We’ve seen this dress is many colours and prints before, but as Jane Lynch is hosting the Emmy’s on September 18 I guess she’s upping the ante in the fashion stakes in preparation.

Wow, i’m speechless with this look, she looks really young, her hair and makeup are amazing, andthe dress looks perfect on her wished she had pulled it up a little bit, but anyway she looks amazing.

It’s nice to see Jane in a gown and looking relaxed, as opposed to uncomfortably suited up. Her hair and make-up here look fantastic, she looks much fresher and younger than usual. Hope she continues down this road!

it’s summery and sweet without looking out of place on her! and i love that she finally wore something that isn’t shiny taffeta 
hopefully she wears jil sander at the emmys, that would make her look perfect!
Wow! I’ve not ever seen her look good. It’s not just the dress, its the hair and makeup – both seem a lot softer, more feminine yet more sophisticated and modern.
Yes, there is something much more comfortable and freer about this look. I don’t love the dress, frankly, but she looks great.
