Anne Hathaway looked spectacular as she took to the red carpet last night for the New York City Premiere her new movie, “One Day.”
The actress wore an Alexander McQueen Resort 2012 dress.
This is the first look we’ve seen from this collection on the red carpet.
Her strapless black dress has an explosion of gold embroidered details on the boned bodice, which narrows at the waist before fanning out into a flared skirt.
Anne’s sensational glittering dress was complemented by a pair of sparkling gold Christian Louboutin heels and a matching gold Christian Louboutin Maykimay clutch with a shoe zipper pull.
Loose wavy hair with coral lips and smoky eyes completed her look.
This is my first contender for BDOTW.

You have to love her.
BDOTW contender for sure.
Jim Sturgess = best accessory ever
That being said, I absolutely adore Anne’s look.
I LOVE this too! She rarely misses. Stunning.
its like ever since alexander mcqueen died his line havent been the same it kinda got too sweety and it doesnt stand out as much anymore
YouTube the Fall 2011 runway show. It’s still in the McQueen aesthetic.
As for this dress, it’s Resort, so it’s not going to be avant-garde & garish.
i really miss the kiss ass alexander mcqueen when i would look at his design as a piece of art when i look at design and think who is going to be bold enough to wear that. He’s truely missed RIP
kick ass **
Wow!
I think it’s a little bit too long but actually it doesn’t matter since she looks stunning
It’s an ok look, but not stunning imo. She could do better for a premiere
I agree, there is nothing special about this look.
I agree.
Gorgeous, but again with the miles-too-big shoes! I think I missed the memo on that one.
She looks great but I’m missing some va va voom from this look. It doesn’t wow me at all.
Yay, Anne back on the red carpet! She can do no wrong!
I love her hair, it really looks good on her with that colouring, she doesnt look so washed out with clown features anymore.
Majestic, yet modern. Elegant, yet bright. BDOTW worthy, for sure!
I’m not feeling the love here. Her hair should have been up, the make-up could have been different for once and I think she should have picked between the gold shoes and the gold clutch, not both.
the whole look is gorgeous.
She looks good – there’s no doubt. But for some reason it doesn’t stand out, its not wow! She could have accessorized it differently. The hair should have been different.
Awesome dress. I think it has a 50′s kind of vibe, but withe the skirt less puffy.
Agree. And like you I think its awesome. Gorgeous silhouette. A demure yet totally all-woman look is a refreshing change.
i love the fit. she has a teenee tiny waist in it.
I think she has such poise, and the way she carries herself is so elegant, that she sells a lot of things I would otherwise not like all that much (like this). She always looks very graceful to me.
This seems to be perfect for her style which consists often of princessy frocks with sparkly detailing. The gold detailing is really stunning.
I’ve loved this dress since the moment I saw it on Style.com, and Anne looks beautiful wearing it. Thank God she didn’t chose black or nude heels and went with gold. I would say this is BDOTW worthy.
I love the dress but not on Anne
I would have loved to see this on Anna Paquin or Chloe Sevigny…
She looks lovely! But the shoes are terrible. The toe is extremely pointy and glittery aka kind of tacky, imo (unfortunately). This would’ve been great if she’d glammed it up a notch via bolder/darker eyes or red/crimson lips or a fancier do (not fancy, just fancier).
This is a bit too sweet for my taste. There’s nothing wrong with it, but she’s just a skinny girl in a sparkly dress, and both Anne and McQueen can generally do better than that.
I think she looks great but her teeny tiny waist scares the crap out of me!
Anne looks gorgeous! However, I couldn’t help but notice one Louboutin heel was too big for her foot while the other one fit perfectly.
Now this is a dress for a movie star! Wonderful — definely the best dressed of the week!
Anne Hathaway is picture perfect wearing this fit and flare ebony dress with gold leaf details by Alexander McQueen!! Love her loose waves and coral lipstick!! Don’t forget the versatile gold pumps!! She’s stunned to perfection!! Fabulous indeed!!!
