On August 11, Banana Republic will debut their highly-anticipated “Mad Men” capsule collection, designed by Banana Republic in collaboration with “Mad Men” costume designer Janie Bryant.
The collection features nearly 65 pieces of apparel and accessories for men and women, embodying 60s effortless chic and dressed-up American sportswear.
Actress Jamie King was the first person to get her hands on a piece from the Banana Republic Mad Men Collection this weekend.
She wore the lace cap-sleeve cream dress whilst attending the Carrera Sunglasses Escape LA event which was held at Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood.
She added an edge to her dress by pairing it with Prada wing-tip platform espadrille Oxfords which we’ve seen worn by Rihanna.
The Banana Republic Mad Men Collection will be carried in Banana Republic’s North American stores and online at www.bananarepublic.com.

I would say it will be better if they call it Michelle Obama collection … Every single look easily can be worn by the first lady.
Good point–the collection is really cute.
Lovely dress. Dreadful shoes.
+ 1.
LOL. Right on. Those shoes are horrible with this dress.
+2
Such a lovely dress with those shoes?!?!?! What a shame
When will celebs realize that those shoes need to die? I can’t enjoy this lovely dress because of those hideous things.
was absolutely loving this look until i scrolled down and saw the shoes.
I am not crazy about the dress and the shoes are even worse.
The dress looks adorable on the model with the coat. Would probably look better on Jamie King without those awful shoes. As it is–a snooze.
I think the dress enhances Jamie’s skin tone perfectly. Unfortunately, her accessories were a big let-down. The clutch is oddly shaped and is so harsh against her summery lace dress; as are her shoes. I would love to see how Jamie would look in those Prada shoes in an outfit that actually compliments them. They’re not half bad.
Agreed on all points – it’s not the shoes but the way Jamie has chosen to wear them.
plain AWFUL! Why does edge have to equal ugliness..??
God talk abotu stylign gone haywire. The sunglasses indoors, bbbaaaaaddd shoes, not so great bag, oh dear. the hari and dress fit hte same mood, classic and ladylike, but god oh god hte shoes. This is the kind of get up I would expect from recent January Jones, ironically enough. The girl who wears thsoe shoes wit hthat dress is hte girl who wears a hideous denim jacket and boots (was she wearing boots?) with a chanel dress.
