This is one of two looks worn by Leslie Mann yesterday.
The blonde actress was one of many beauties to hit the red carpet at “The Change-Up” LA Premiere last night.
It’s feels like a very, very long while since we last saw Marchesa on the red carpet, but looking back Blake Lively wore one of their pieces just last month.
Leslie gave us our first look from the Marchesa Resort 2012 collection by wearing this sophisticated pencil dress.
At first I found the gold embellishments which help sculpt the shoulders a tad overwhelming (strangely) as they feel quite heavy, but on reflection I am more glad she;
a. picked a show stopper,
b. put her hair up and;
c. opted for complementary accessories.
Her hair was teased into a purposely messy high bun plus she carried the same Marchesa envelope gold clutch as the model in the look book picture.

I really like this look! Very “clean” and sophisticaded! I think should be on the BDOTW pool!
Agree with some of the comments, the lipstick is a bit harsh but the dress is gorgeous
marchesa dress – always a winner!
Wow! Those embellishments on the shoulder and waist are stunning! She looks gorgeous here!
It reminds me of the Marchesa Emma Watson wore to the MTV Movie Awards back in June.
tacky. she looks an absolute mess.
Really? I think thats a bit harsh!! Courtney Love- now most of what she wears i’d describe as an ‘absolute mess’!
I think she looks 100% gorgeous in this.
Like how the messy high bun works with the embellished shoulder detail, don’t quite like the shoes here although they are rather complementary, nice clutch.
Gorgeous. She never fails on the red carpet
Gorgeous! I love the look and the clutch is to die for 🙂
the shoes let her down a little, but otherwise, i love it.
I think she looks fabulous, though I do find the lipstick to be a bit too screamingly bold in the close up, but from a distance, it works.
+1
i like this a lot on her.
McQueen did a much better job with the golden epaulet concept. Marchesa consistently underwhelms.
Agree. Two years or so ago, I was in love with Marchesa. Now, I’m growing tired of their signature style. It hasn’t evolved, and the execution of it seems to be worse.
I really like it. She looks great. I love the dress.
Such unimaginative styling. She matched her shoes and bag to the gold detail in the dress. Then, she opted for a pop of color. Only, she went way overboard with it. I would’ve been fine with either red lips, fingernails, or toes. But all of them feels a bit juvenille to me.
And something about the dress feels stiff to me, but I can’t figure out what.
Stunning! If only she had worn the lookbook sandals as well, then I would be floored. Oh BTW you spelled Leslie wrong in the first sentence.
