Freida Pinto In Roland Mouret – The Daily Show with Jon Stewart

Freida Pinto was in New York City yesterday for an appearance on “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.”

The Indian actress is in town to promote her latest movie, “Rise of the Planet of the Apes.”

She opted to wear a Roland Mouret ‘Attis Carre’ top which she paired with a Roland Mouret ‘Cleonte’ skirt in gorgeous chartreuse colour.

The gorgeousity didn’t stop there as she paired her dress with a fabulous pair of Nicholas Kirkwood bronze lace-up sandals.

it looks quite off to me! freida hasn’t been shining lately like we’ve known her to do!

I agree, there are so many chic and gorgeous dresses to chose from.
Also I have this irresistible urge to straighten out that fold on her skirt.

But I do love her hair and makeup and shoes on this occasion. Its perfect :)

    perfect.. love it

I normally love Mouret, but this dress looks weird. The skirt looks sloppy (not Freida’s fault). If she wanted to wear Mouret, she should have gone with one of his sleeker looks.

Great color for her. I love this look–creative, chic, great for a hot summer day. Another BDOTW candidate?

I saw her on the show last nite and am not a fan of the dress. She still managed to look good – the hair, make up and shoes were perfect. But the dress is a little odd. I loved the color on her though and she was glowing. I just wish she had chosen a different dress. She used to have impeccable style – what happened ?

I love that she can work colors most of us couldn’t imagine wearing, but the proportions of this dress don’t seem right to me.

I do not like the dress. Shoes, hair and makeup are great but that’s about it.

This is what a summery outfit looks like. Go Freida.

    Lovely. BDOTW worthy.

i am not a fan either. I also do not really like that colour too much on her. It does not wash her out, but it does not do anything for her either. And she is one of the lucky ones that can wear bold colours, so why go for this boring mustard.

    Gorg!

FC, have you noticed that Freida has been wearing a lot of green lately while promoting this film. No complains, as the shades of green/yellow look fabulous on her since she won BDOTW in Oscar de la Renta last year. I love her shoes. She looks effortlessly beautiful here!

Yes, you are right. I hadn’t noticed

    gorgeousity indeed! haha

I love the dress. I notice that whenever a dress is slightly different than the norm, people complain. Actresses have to brave the online comments regarding anything new & different!

    • dee August 5, 2011 at 21:14 #

I am all for a dress that is different but it also has to be flattering and this dress is not.

  15. Carmen SanDiego August 3, 2011 at 18:59 #

this look is distrastrously mediocre. That color doe snot flatter her and the heel, while interesting, doesn’t go witht he rest of the look.

She’s a classy, pretty woman, so she is able to carry this better than she should. Doesn’t change that, for me, it’s a total miss.
