Julia Sarr-Jamois is the stunning fashion editor of Wonderland magazine who always stands out amongst the fashion pack during Fashion Week.
It’s hard not to take notice of Julia since she can often be found in eye-catching neon Christopher Kane skirts, bold Prada sunglasses and floral Mary Katranzou prints.
Given Julia’s enviable figure and distinctive features, it’s no surprise that the half-Senegalese, half-French fashion editor gave modeling a try in her early teens, finally ending up in the styling world.
We’re enamoured with Julia’s bright, bold and colourful outfits but also appreciate her more tailored looks, all of which are given a cool spin with her signature curly afro.
It’s obvious Julia isn’t afraid to experiment with bright prints or colours but we’ve noticed that she’s often snapped in this brilliant shade of pink, finding many different ways to incorporate it into her look.
She chose a pair of loose fitting ankle-length pants to wear with a tailored grey jacket and patent leather turquoise heels. A Prada knitted sweater with a black leggings and a Miu Miu sequin bag was paired with grey booties.
Opting for a more feminine style, Julia wore this pretty lady-like dress with a simple pair of black ballet flats. Wearing another pink mini dress, Julia chose a grey blazer and added a fluffy pink scarf, black strappy heels and a bright multi-coloured bag.
One of Julia’s best assets is her long legs which she proudly shows off in a variety of printed skirts.
Her white and floral printed Mary Katrantzou skirt looks incredible when paired with Prada Spring 2011 ‘Baroque Deluxe’ sunglasses and fun fluffy pink heels. This is one of my favourite looks on Julia as she looks like she just stepped out of an editorial.
Her Miu Miu mosaic printed skirt is brought to life by her bold vintage red leather jacket, blue shirt and sequinned Louis Vuitton clutch.
A denim jacket is often frowned upon, but Julia’s styling of a sequin top, snake-skin skirt and converse sneakers brings the look up-to-date.
Julia’s amazing Christopher Kane Spring 2011 skirt with orange detailing is seriously on-trend when paired with a striped shirt and black and orange stripy Prada wedges.
Julia can clearly work complicated prints and patterns with confidence but she can also adapt to wearing more casual, tailored looks too.
One of her favourite styles includes pairing distressed denim jeans with a simple tee, blazer and a pair of killer heels.
Her outfits have a sophisticated edge as she keeps the rest of her pieces in neutral colours like white, grey, black and navy. If she does feel like injecting some colour into her outfit, she does so with her favourite pink scarf and turquoise heels.
We’re huge fans of Julia’s incredibly eclectic style and can’t wait to see more of her during Spring 2012 Fashion Week and beyond.
