Miranda Kerr In LOVER – David Jones Brand Launch

Miranda Kerr hit the shop floor with group general manager Sacha Laing at the David Jones Elizabeth St Sydney store today, to announce the 60 new labels the retailer will be stocking this season.

The Australian Model and David Jones Ambassador banished the Australian winter blues by wearing a red hot LOVER Fall 2011 lace dress.

The delicate dress with an asymmetrical hemline was paired with taupe Christian Louboutin ‘Toutenkaboucle’ strappy platform sandals.

On the model this dress isn’t that appealing, but Miranda’s shorter red version is a much better fit for the supermodel.

The new labels for the DJ store include Australian designers LOVER and Carl Kapp, plus international labels such as Lanvin, Dries Van Noten and Hugo Boss Women and the celebrity lines include Victoria Beckham Collection, Lily Allen’s Lucy in Disguise and strangely the Kardashian Kollection.

I’m never a huge fan of Miranda on the red carpet, because I often feel that what she wears either doesn’t suit her or is frajly a little dull, regardless of how beautiful sh eis. However, I adore this dress on her, because while i prefer the actual lace of the original, as lace goes, it is more delicate etc, and a less obvious lining would have been prefered, but I much prefer the colour (which would not have worked as well with the original lace), the fit and the slightly fuller, shorter pointed skirt. I also am undecided about the shoes, because i jsut think prettier shoes would ahve worked better with the dress.

Like the red but the dress itself , the design, looks more like ‘dancing with the stars’ costume. Not a fan of the shoes.
