Dong Jie joined several stars who attended a Louis Vuitton cutting ribbon ceremony to mark the opening of another store in Asia last night.
The beautiful actress wore a Louis Vuitton Fall 2011 dress.
Her black sheer dress wasn’t presented on the runway, but we can see that Look 58 has the closest resemblance.
I actually prefer the shorter version.
It’s chic and more wearable with the addition of a short strapless dress underneath.
Dong Jie wore black pumps and carried a Louis Vuitton clutch heavily embellished clutch to completed her look.

Great dress, and as you said – way better than the runway version. Love the clutch.
Black pumps and black dress with clutch bag is looking awesome.
Perfect, from head to toes!!!
really great look for her!! Yes, much better than the runway version for sure!
lovely dress!
This is a cute look if there ever was one! She looks great and I have a feeling this wouldn’t look as good on most other people.
I agree – it would look ridiculously girly/twee on lots of people, but Dong Jie just looks adorable.
I remember when Lady Gaga wore this on the Paul O’Grady show, and it just looked like more lady gaga wear – just odd, and kind of costumey, but nothing really more than that (although she accessorized it with a fabulous Philip Treacy hat).
It looks so pretty on Dong Jie though- I really like it. The solid color as opposed to the black and white makes it more serious; in black and white it looks a little clownish with the stripes and buttons and what not.
I love LV and Dong Jie is doing this fabulous dress great justice. BDOTW contender I hope.
She looks adorable. Love it.
She is so tiny, there’s too much of a cute little girl vibe, as opposed to chic, going on for my taste.
The runway version is hilarious! Sheer exposure.
I’m catching the same vibe and agree, not chic!
I was worried about how this collection would translate in “real” life, but I actually really like it. good job!
Chic!
I think she carries this dress off quite well, though I really don’t like it. My only complaint about her presentation is her hair–it looks totally unstyled and that is out of character with this fussy dfress.
Revision–I like the skirt of the dress, but not the top
On the one hand I thought “cute” but I’m not really into head to toe cute, especially on someone who could also be described as such. It’s too much. Then I thought about how the visible structural details turn the cuteness on it’s head a bit. There’s a touch of whimsy that moves it away mere cuteness to something stylish and sophisticated.
BDOTW worthy!
And that how you turn a couture look into RTW… its beautiful
Definitely better than the runway, which is quite ridiculous, but I don’t like the big sleeves. She looks very cute, anyway. BDOTW worthy?
HATED IT!
this is beautifullllllll
Such a special dress…she somehow makes it work
