Jayma Mays opted for super straight hair on the red carpet at the “The Smurfs” World Premiere, which was held at the Ziegfeld Theater in New York City yesterday.
The red head who stars as Neil Patrick Harris’ wife ‘Grace Winslow’ in the Smurfs movie, wore a Reem Acra dress.
Her strapless green mini dress with an embroidered floral detail on the waist was paired with eggplant Ferragamo pumps, BaubleBar hooped earrings and a Judith Leiber clutch.
As you know I love the green dress/red hair combo, but what’s working against me is Jayma’s bright coral lippie.
Whilst coral is a great colour for Jayma, this particular shade is very harsh for her skin-tone.

I love the look, but you are so right about the lipstick. It just clashes horribly with the outfit and her hair.
her lippy would have been fine if her shoes had picked up the slack…that choice just kills it for me
I like the idea of the dress and it fits her very well, but it seems too short. She is slim but not supermodel slim and so many young actresses seem compelled to chop off dresses to show off their legs. I would love to see the dress 2 inches longer. I agree about the coral lipstick, good idea – wrong shade.
The lipstick is wrong but other than that she looks good. I kinda wish the dress was a bit longer.
I wish her dress had been wee bit longer. Maybe even just two inches. The proportion seems wrong. But I love the color of the dress, her hair & the eggplant pumps. The lipstick, not so much.

That lipstick shade looks downright cartoonish. It ruins the look along with those boring pumps.

Jayma babes, I kind of like you so I’ll let you in on a secret. Well not really a secret because this needs to be obvious to anyone with a pair of eyes – but I think your hair-stylist hates you.
I can’t believe there’s been this many comments without a leprechaun joke. I’m impressed.
Given her rounded face, the ironed down hair is not attractive at all. I know she wants some distance from her GLEE character, but this does not highlight her stronger points at all. She doesn’t look comfortable with a dress that tight and short either, and the shoe style does not go with it (though I love the color combination). She’s so much more attractive than this!
I agree- the coral lippie is too harsh against her skin tone! This look is pretty good, but people have upstaged her by far this week.
