For those who don’t know Katy Perry is a natural blonde.
You may remember she had red hair for a short time last month, which was a temporary measure before the singer returned to her roots.
She gave us the big reveal yesterday on MTV News.
Katy was there for the announcement of the nominees for the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards.
Wearing a striped Versus Spring 2011 dress the singer was excited to learn that she has nine nominations, including Best Pop Video, Best Collaboration, Best Direction, Best Special Effects, and Video of the Year for “Firework.”
The 2011 MTV Video Music Awards takes place on Sunday, August 28 from 9pm ET/PT on MTV.

I can understand her being tired of the jet black hair. But she really should stick to dark colors. They make her eyes pop and they are imo her (only) interesting facial features.
From what I can see, she looks nice in the dress.
It looks like she needs to lighten her brows and change her makeup to go with the new coloring. This will take some getting used to.
At first when Emma Stone went back to blonde, I didn’t like it. But as her hair recovered and her makeup and clothing colors changed, I started to like her more and more as a blonde. So I’ll reserve judgment on Katy for now.
I wonder how many natural blondes are brunettes and redheads. Kristen Stewart and Leighton Meister I believe are two….

I like the colour, but the make-up is too heavy for it..
I liked Katy as a brunette, but I think I’ll like this color too when I get used to it. I wish there were a full-length picture of her in the dress. She definitely has the body for it and I’d love to see the shoes she wore with it.
